Precisely, I couldn`t have put it better myself. The only reason someone from a working class background would actually vote Tory. Snobbery. Regarding Iran, the shah was a puppet figure brought in by the USA and United Nations foe monetary gain..the Iranians in 78/79 had decided that they had had enough of how the country was run, and thus, with people power, overturned the government, and by popular consent, remember those last 2 words, brought back Khomeini. That was how they ( the people ) wanted to live their lives and live by the laws that govern their lives.
