For your information JC, I wasn`t trying to find anything about gazza. I went to my aol email and it was the headlines. So you are wrong there. There have been many threads about gazza and I have never said anything bad about the man. On the contrary I have supported him and sympathised about his illness and sad state of affairs.
Mr Salmond has not been found guilty of any offence, yet everyone is jumping on him simply because they hate him or don`t agree with his politics. The same people who have came out with the rubbish that women in past cases are simply after money, a statement which I completely disagree with. The point I am making is the complete inconsistency on here. Both men are innocent until proven guilty, although the difference is that gazza has been charged by the Police, if the article is true, Mr Salmond (who is not the leader of the SNP or even an MP for your information) has not. And it was our glorious leader Nicola that instigated the investigation on the complaints which is the right thing to do. No ones knows what the complaints even are, yet you all have the man guilty already. I don`t know what was meant to have happened but I don`t believe he is guilty, until it is proven otherwise. |

No idea whether Salmond did these things but he was MP (Westminster days) where I used to live and was reasonably
respected as a good constituency MP . I had better watch what I say but he didn't put all of his constituents at ease. He was as good a debater as you will ever see tho |

Mac the big difference here is that internally this has been investigated. It's been ongoing for 5 months.
The fact that it has been forwarded to the police and not just dismissed suggests there might be some truth to the accusations. Salmond strangely said he had no qualms with the complainants but merely by the procedures. |

I used to like him but in his latter years as leader he became very arrogant. Even after he lost indyref1 his arrogance never deserted him. |

Yea I know. My language is probably fair. Interestingly, I was exposed to the (very rich) boss of a friend of mine recently and by god he couldn't speak a sentence without an F or a C and a LOT of Cs. It wasn't clever, I was surprised. I lost so much respect for him. Swearing all the time takes away the punch if you DO want to REALLY swear. It should be a gun you pull out when you need it, not punctuation!
