I have used the word 'hero' very sparingly in my life, only three people have ever achieved that status with me. My Dad, Sir Henry Cecil and Neil Diamond.
Such awful news I've just read that the legend Neil Diamond is now suffering with this awful illness but he still sounds upbeat in this article and may he still continue singing his great songs, I absolutely love the bloke.
I'm a godawful singer but when I've had a few beers in my mates bar 'I Am I Said' is always the song that I try and sing.

Sad to hear of his diagnosis . Unique voice . Not sure how he achieved 'hero' status by all known definitions

That is such a moving song M_D and yes it does make me misty eyed listening to those lyrics.
