Well and this may sound strange but the best Tribute Band I have seen are UB40. Don't ask but I have seen them 3 times! Once in Barbados when I went for the Cricket World Cup Final so I cannot be blamed for buying a ticket.
I was made to go and see them at Brighton. I never liked them because I liked the original Ska music. I thought they were charlatans. I saw them at Brighton supported by the I Threes. Well fcek me but the I Threes were as good as anyone gets then UB40 came on and I was not that impressed after what I had just seen and heard. To be fair UB40 have never made claims about being the best or anything. They are just a bunch of mates who like Reggi Reggi music. They are actually quite good musicians too much to my surprise. They get paid for doing what they love and good luck to them and for that reason they are my favourite Tribute Band! |

I saw a U2 tribute called 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and it was absolutely uncanny just how similar they sounded to the original band, they were excellent.

Slippy... I've seen Think Floyd about 5 times, once in Lindos in Rhodes (combined holiday with the show). They are very good at what they do, but for me, the ultimate Pink Floyd show has to be Brit Floyd. Seen them 3 times, faultless in their performances.

Tribute bands worth seeing (ones I've seen anyway)
Brit Floyd Think Floyd Rumours of Fleetwood Mac (amazing Stevie Nicks voice on the girl singer) For the best of everything, The Classic Rock Show. Perfect covers of just about everything they play. If you get the chance to see this band, you will not be disappointed. They cover everything, Led Zep, Floyd, Eagles, Sabbath, AC/DC, The Who, ZZ top, etc etc. Their guitar work is second to none I've seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LESGl1MKTew ..La Grange ZZ Top Check out their other vids on youtube. |
