A new dawn, if not a FALSE dawn, and a new age for the innovators and the entrepreneurs, jeez! I got that in one without the spellcheck, approaches and I for one am so hopeful though not exactly brimming with confidence that the power-brokers with actually deliver.

This...this... reality check is so over due.

The problem with London is they think everything has to revolve around in
The Trains assume to want to go through London when your route is planned
and costs a fortune more. But Londoners get a freedom pass giving free travel
for those living in.https://tfl.gov.uk/fares-and-payments/adult-discounts-and-concessions/freedom-pass

Do other cities do the same

Cant understand why BMW,Merc,Audi aint putting plants up in this country
cause after brexit unless built here people will not afford to buy them
so massive loss of sales for them.

you guys think i am crazy ,but check this thread next April and you will read posts about the 2nd brexit vote that took place, and check the daily news for the next 3 weeks and you will here sound bites and hints from both sides about a second vote.First the UK Will be told by the EU that they are not allowed to have a second vote,(a trick),this will get the hair standing on the backs of the necks of the UK people and soon Theresa will announce that the UK will have a second vote if they wish to do so.(and she will be cheered for this statement)(part of the plan). And then all the people of the UK will say"we will have a second vote if we want to"(people hoodwinked again) and finally you will read that
The UK DEFY EUROPE RULING AND DECIDE ON SECOND VOTE(telling Europe that they will make their own decisions on their future)
and behind closed doors the champagne corks will pop and the back slapping will begin, and the UK people will say"who the feck do Europe think the are telling us we cant have another vote, that will show them who rules"Laugh

Fake news has been used to control the masses since way before the ones you list in the shape of organised religion.

The sad reality is that a substantial proportion of the population will believe any old guff they hear without doing any further checking of its veracity.  You only have to look at the amount of bull spouted on an almost daily basis by Trump - yet he's the one crying fake news louder than most!

Scary times.

There are 220m households within the EU as of 2017 and 27.2m in the UK.  While it would be a significant loss of sales, the UK market is tiny compared to the EU as a whole.  Is the UK domestic market alone sufficient to justify the expense of setting up supply and manufacturing chains?  I doubt it.

Yes Latalomne but or 27.2m households of those outside cities and a lot in have minimum of 2 cars per household
obviously dont know how many cars per household in EU .So 50 million sales is not to be sniffed at at 20 odd grand a pop minimum

You do realise not everybody buys BMW, Merc or Audi?  Even fewer will be able to afford to if NO DEAL happens.

Nobody is going to invest in the UK until they know what the situation is going to be moving forward, or what deals are likely to be possible for imports from outside the EU.

Yes Latalomne the same applies to EU not everybody drives a BWM etc
and that is exactly the point if brexit ever happens mercs etc will be very
expensive unless built over here.
Understand that nobody will invest but you can say the same about any non eu country
All i can go on is what my eyes see and my own ideas of what i see going on working
with the public for 30 odd years
The car parks at the station i work 45 miles from mecca are full of German/Italian/French cars
to the tune of around 70% the rest are a real mixture also we do not have the handing in of season tickets
(lost jobs)we had in 2006/07 and could predict what was coming. If anything seasons are increasing according
to the news(not 100% sure of that myself but a lot have gone online)
Yes it a long post i not always make sensebut don't see the disaster in the long run
unless those at the top decide to pull the rug from underneath as they did in the late eighties.
  Sorry long post

Of course not everybody drives a BMW in the EU, but the EU market is almost 10 times the size of the UK market.  In percentage terms it would be a HUGE investment to build a plant here, particularly if you could then only realistically expect to export to non-EU countries (because I can't imagine for one moment that we'll be able to produce them any cheaper than factories within the EU after EU import tariffs have been applied; as an aside, 56% of UK manufactured car exports went to EU countries in 2016).  We manufacture about 11% of the car components that the Germans do, so there would likely be import tariffs imposed while getting those to manufacturers in the UK - all adding to the cost.  In short, if I did most of my trade within the EU, there would be plenty of places I would look to invest before I considered investing in the UK.

but its the German fat cats that own BMW MERC and Audi and they play for the other team,If the UK get an easy leave the other 27 will want to leave.

and the Germans/french, own British Rail and British Energy and can pull the plug anytime they wish and hit the UK with massive tariff's ,so no deal is still 1.01 but may cause a backlash.all in all the leave vote has caused a shambles that nobody can solve ,and time is running out, thats why i say the answer to everything is to vote again and make sure to get it correct .The facts are there if people really care about their country, and stop the voting on party lines.(imvho)

It's the Dutch/Germans/Japs/Frogs and a few others that own the railways
along with probably nothing British owned in most places these days.
