I dare you to name a better TV station.
Anywhere in the f********** world. |
|
By:
The BBC is just a whole different televisual experience to EVERY OTHER TV station on the planet.
Have you ever tried watching TV outside of Britain? |
|
By:
Well, they seem to have sold everything to Sky.
I was referring to the Open, btw. WTF is this not on council telly? |
|
By:
Rhetorical question, I suppose

I was raised on the BBC World Service, btw & you cannot deny it has gone downhill.

Not soon enough.

Maybe they'll move office to Brussels next year in the huff at Brexit and merge with a "No Borders" charity.
You can only dream.. |

How does the land lie with not paying the license fee?

I haven't paid my licence since over three years - nothing worth watching.
I listen to Radio's 4, 5, Scotland & the World Service on occasion - but they're generally crap too. |

By:
The BBC is a wonderful organisation, I wonder why other countries dont copy it !!!

Congrats Francesco Molinari, btw. Eight under - won by two strokes

What have they had to say trilby?
threats of court action and what not? |
|
By:
They send me an e-mail every two years to enquire as to whether my circumstances remain the same.
I reply to say they are. |
|
By:
Ya not had any knocks on the door ?
|
|
By:
Nope.
By they, I mean TV Licencing. The BBC have little - or nothing - to do with them. It's all a load of nonsense. |
|
By:
If I were to ignore an e-mail, I might expect a knock on the door - at least a threatening letter.
|
|
By:
Id just like to say a massive thank you to Trilby, for telling me the open championship winner, on a chit chat"when will the bbc cease to exist" fred.Just about to watch the 2 hour open programme before i go on the night shift. Didnt know the winner, and was really looking forward to it. Just watching the tour de france on itv 4, then the open. Any chance of telling me the bike race winner before the finish .

No great love of the BBC but they have been been deliberately undefunded and attacked by the free market ring wing rancid spiv movement that would prefer Fox News and Brietbart on 24/7

Have they been cutting back on wages anxious?

By:
Poor Huwe Edwards only on 600k a year to read a telepromoter. How does he get by? There should have telethon for underpaid BBC staff. "Millionaires in need".

Its up now against foreign owned multi billion cartels owned by suspicious people
|
|
By:
Yup, the BBC totally sucks now-a-days, imo.
How many "foreign correspondents" do they need? Enough to destroy free sport … except for women's football. Wimbledon will be next ![]() |
