I don't believe the EDL had a 'membership' , I'm sure it was/is a popularist movement .
As for his membership of the BNP - so what ? I was a member of a chess club when I was younger but haven't played chess for years . If everything from everybody's past was dragged up at every available opportunity we'd get nowhere fast . His previous membership of a 'far-right' political group doesn't disqualify him from having views and opinions ,in this case views that are of genuine concern to a large and ever growing number of British people .

To be clear my politics are generally right of centre and I am in favour of coming down very hard on illegal immigration regardless of where they come from.I'm also against multi culturalism which has allowed the mushrooming of no go ghetto areas and the setting up of the muslim council which is akin to a rival government . Tony Blair has a lot to answer for in encouraging the muslims and eastern europeans in the belief that they'd keep Labour in power in perpetuity.

It is a nonsense to allow relatives who can't speak English to settle here and as for the wearing of  national clothing i'm not going there as it got me banned from the forum for 9 months when someone who still posts here allegedly reported me.

What i want is a strong government who will change the law and start to roll back the damage caused by the country being swamped by immigrants however i firmly believe that the problem and solution has to be dealt with within the law.
