The BBC have lost their purpose, they made brilliant shows when it wasnt a box ticking exercise.

The BBC is just a news outlet trying too hard to influence the audience.

Hancock and Cook & Moore also BBC greats in comedy. Agree it's a pretty awful selection nowadays.

The only comedy series of recent years that I have really liked have been Peep Show and Spaced, not bothered about any of the others.

Did like a bit of "Mongrels" on BBC 3 before it got cancelled/BBC 3 went off TV.

Til Death Us Do Part and It Aint Half Hot Mum , would now be seen as extremely politically incorrect but looking back they didn't glorify 'racism' and bigotry . Rather the opposite in that the audience were actually laughing AT the bigots rather than with them . thus highlighting the negativity of such bigotry .
