Birmingham Mail 1 hour ago What will happen when Prince Philip Mountbatten dies Bristol Post 46 mins ago Spooky |

By:
I've no idea if the rumour is true, sir. Is it on Twitter and the like?
By:
Based on past form, no. It does not even sound plausible: why would they need to wait till five?
By:
There was a news blackout on the queen mum, i actually had someone ring me and ask if there were prices that she had,,
Ghoulish some people |
By:
Now you have got me wondering which BBC newsreader will be brought in to announce it.
By:
We'll probably all find out before Nick Witchell.

Hi, Alun.
Hope you are well, sir. Apologies, I don't really visit the forum very often, I'll be sure to check my messages and send a reply, dear chap. |
By:
The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.....
By:
Thank you - I think I sent it to the 'Dane'.

"A friend just told me that the Duke of Edinburgh had passed away but there is a press blackout until 5"
I'd just take it as rumours, and these rumours seem to have started by a string of local newspaper websites publishing a story about what happens when the Duke does pass away. |

Sky do not have a scooby. I swictched to BBC and The prime Minister is defending the lying Chief Whip! mazing!
Will be really interesting if anything happens at 5pm! How could the Prime Minister defend a liar with news due at 5pm. If the rumour is true she shirley must be toast! |
By:
If he died during the night, the news would not be released on the bbc until 8am, so it's possible.
By:
not being funny but why delay till 5? I mean who really cares?
By:
Probably because people will be out of work at that time, listening to the radio etc, so they'd get massive publicity
Sounds disgusting saying that but I wouldn't put it past them |
By:
They don't want people drinking first thing in the morning.
By:
Yeah, not as if it's Paul McCartney. That would be a black day.
By:
He's looked ill for months though, more than usual, his last public outing (the wedding) he looked like he had not long left imo
I think its bo***** but if it isn't its sad news |

I have taken a dislike to the Gaffer, like many " Royals " who have nothing but contempt for the rest of us! I think the Queen is great and that is as far as I will go!

By:
I only dislike them because they go shooting.

Buckingham Palace has quashed rumours swirling worldwide about the health of Prince Philip.
"You could safely assume the Queen and Prince Philip are not dead," a palace press officer told a TVNZ reporter this afternoon. Also, a Buckingham Palace official has told The Associated Press that a meeting of royal household staff has been called, but that there is "no cause for concern". The official, who spoke to the AP only on condition of anonymity, said household meetings are called from time to time. |
