Would make a terrific PM.A man who truly wants to implement what the majority voted for 2 long years ago.Who would you have cardiff ..crackpot Corbyn and brain-dead Abbott?
Report SontaranStratagem July 16, 2018 12:38 PM BST
I'd like Abbott

If only for the fits and giggles
Report johnizere July 16, 2018 12:43 PM BST
I don't think there would be anything to laugh about if Addup gets anywhere near government. We've enough screwing us over as it is.
Report dave1357 July 16, 2018 12:58 PM BST
the ulster bigots won't ever support a Catholic PM.  So there will be an insta-election if he wins the leadership.

You might well be correct in your assessment of JRM but i would still rather have him than the person who is currently our PM.What a catastrophic situation.
Report dambuster July 16, 2018 2:34 PM BST
As long as Corbyn Keeps Abbott on board. The tories have nothing to fear
Report posy July 16, 2018 3:33 PM BST
I too would like to see JRM elected prime minister; he is one of very few who has the intellect and  knowledge of constitutional history to really appreciate what the job entails. His personal religious beliefs whilst not altogether to my taste shouldn't be our concern.
He is a man who chooses his words carefully and knows his brief inside out. His spars with Corbyn across the despatch box would make for riveting television. Without a doubt Trump,Junker,Macron and the like would not be able to bully us as they do May.

If May is not replaced with someone who demands a decent deal from the EU, the Tories will be out of office for at least ten years imo.

Strong willed and not afraid to take a stance.
Report Foinavon July 16, 2018 9:48 PM BST

Report dambuster July 17, 2018 4:16 PM BST
All these people fearing Labour, ignore the polls, they are two bob.
The people threatening to vote labour, will get in the voting booth, think of Corbyn and think of Abbott, then change there mind, believe me, there are the young gullibles who will vote for them, but i'm sure even some of  the labour backbenchers don't want those two in charge.
Report dambuster July 17, 2018 4:18 PM BST
My choice would be JRM and Boris as deputy.
I'd pay good money to see JRM at PMQ opposite Diane Abbott.
It'd be like watching Stephen Fry against Joey Essex On Mastermind

Very dangerous to write off Corbyn at the next election even though he and his shadow cabinet remind me of the participants at the Queen of Hearts' tea party in Alice in Wonderland. Whilst it is tempting to believe that the electorate will come to its senses as they apply the cross in the polling booth I for one wouldn't bank on it. Never ever overestimate the intelligence of the proletariat.

I'd give you 60/1 Rees-Mogg.

He has never held office, even junior, for good reason.

Report BonnieDday July 18, 2018 11:12 AM BST
If UB is willing to take posy's £20 at 60, why is he not wiping out the 9, 9.2 and 11 currently available to lay? Go on UB, you're willing to offer 60 and you can wipe out the lovely 8/1.
Report BonnieDday July 18, 2018 11:14 AM BST
Gets even better for you, UB. There's £100 to lay at 11.5. What a cinch.

Ah, I see some confusion on this thread.
"I'd" is short for "I would gladly," not "I have to."
The way the exchange works is: you are matched with the most advantageous price available.
Not the individual you would most like to take money off.
Which, in any case, is none of you.
I recognize trilby as someone forever trying to dump his worthless Scotgold shares.
He needs no help from me in losing his wad.
The others. Keep your money in your pockets.
Thank me later.
