That anyone, regardless of their age and background, should be beaten "to a pulp" is absolutely disgraceful.
Putting more police out "on patrol to reassure the public" will achieve very little and is unlikely to prevent random attacks of this nature.
If the politicians are serious about tackling mindless and vicious behaviour like this, then the law or the sentencing guidelines need to be changed, either to discourage those minded to perpetrate it or to ensure that if they do, then they go away for a very long time and are removed from the streets. Life without parole should be considered in appropriate cases. Even the thickest of numbskulls might understand the impact of this, although there will always be some who won't be discouraged just as murders continued in the days when Albert Pierrepoint was usefully employed in prisons. Political rhetoric doesn't cut the ice.
I understand all the arguments about those in prison without hope of release becoming even more dangerous with nothing to lose and that there would not be enough prisons. So be it. A price worth paying. Build some more and generate jobs.

Trump deserves the same privilege as other presidents and world leaders, he should be allowed to come in and not have to worry about his life being in danger, its a disgrace they are resorting to this level imo
I don't like the bloke either but he should be treated well on his visit

Doubtless won't be named "for legal reasons" if charged.
Just over 100 years ago, 15 and 16 year olds were enlisting for the trenches.
God help us. What a world.

The Russia people might be a particularly savage people and that is why they need a brutal dictator to keep them in line , I don’t know Well it’s been that way for the past 100 years at least

Japan does not have lots of different cultures that it has to try to integrate.

Japan hasn't got a problem with immigration diversity or political correctness.
Simply because they don't let in immigrants and they're naturally polite.
Imagine the heaven on earth this country would be if we'd gone down the same route as Japan.

My brother worked there for over 25 years, I don't think dual nationality was ever a possibility. You go there to work and pay taxes-no handouts if you don't earn enough to live- and unless you marry a Japanese lady, you go home.

No-one should be surprised as to how and why Japan has mostly avoided the nightmare of Islamic Terror. And rightly so.
Is it a coincidence that the countries with the least amount of a well-known Peaceful Religion inside their borders manage to avoid the Jihadist cancer?

Australia hasn't got the same problems that we have either. They've also put a block on immigration.
What is about Europeans that we always choose the disastrous route to go down?

Japan definitely isn't the best country for asylum seekers. They are polite but don't gift nationalities.
Also, they are a hardworking nation, unlike most in Europe where the natives simply don't want to do the dirty work and are happy letting other nationalities take the jobs(but whine about the consequences).
