That anyone, regardless of their age and background, should be beaten "to a pulp" is absolutely disgraceful.
Putting more police out "on patrol to reassure the public" will achieve very little and is unlikely to prevent random attacks of this nature. If the politicians are serious about tackling mindless and vicious behaviour like this, then the law or the sentencing guidelines need to be changed, either to discourage those minded to perpetrate it or to ensure that if they do, then they go away for a very long time and are removed from the streets. Life without parole should be considered in appropriate cases. Even the thickest of numbskulls might understand the impact of this, although there will always be some who won't be discouraged just as murders continued in the days when Albert Pierrepoint was usefully employed in prisons. Political rhetoric doesn't cut the ice. I understand all the arguments about those in prison without hope of release becoming even more dangerous with nothing to lose and that there would not be enough prisons. So be it. A price worth paying. Build some more and generate jobs. |

It needs high profile people to suffer before the Establishment changes tack and acts.

I hate to say it but Trump is right about the threat to yanks in landan

Khan meanwhile wants a balloon of a man in a nappy hoisted over landan
says it all really |
|

Trump deserves the same privilege as other presidents and world leaders, he should be allowed to come in and not have to worry about his life being in danger, its a disgrace they are resorting to this level imo
I don't like the bloke either but he should be treated well on his visit |
|
By:
50 percent aren't opposed to his visit interesting isn't it
with all the pots banging away I thought the whole country opposed apparently not the case |
|
By:
Khan balloon has raised 40k in 5 days!

Mugging a 74 year old man is disgraceful. The culprits should be severely punished. 15yo girl and 16yo boy arrested.
|
|
By:
released if you believe the news??!!
|

By:
Doubtless won't be named "for legal reasons" if charged.
Just over 100 years ago, 15 and 16 year olds were enlisting for the trenches. God help us. What a world. |

When the people of a country are normal and fairly civilised you don’t need a dictator to keep them in line

Perhaps we could model ourselves on Japan or some other beautiful country , too difficult ?
|
|
By:
What on earth are you on about now study ?
|
|
By:
Beat me to it treetop. Shame but true.
|
|
By:
The Russia people might be a particularly savage people and that is why they need a brutal dictator to keep them in line , I don’t know
Well it’s been that way for the past 100 years at least |

There’s no doubt IT it depends on the people , no matter where they come from , it’s not something to be admired imo
I do admire Japan , maybe there’s a lesson there for us all |
|
By:
You see America gave Japan democracy , not brutal dictatorship
And to there great credit it seems to suit them , they deserve great credit for that |
|
By:
no idea what even studyform could find fault with there

Japan !!!!!! Don't think they let any non Japanese into the country until the 1800s and have only started having immigrants in the last 30 years or so........hardly diverse

themightymac probably thinks Stalin wasn’t a dictator just because they voted in soviet Russia
oh well , that’s what you are up against . |

Japan hasn't got a problem with immigration diversity or political correctness.
Simply because they don't let in immigrants and they're naturally polite. Imagine the heaven on earth this country would be if we'd gone down the same route as Japan. |

My brother worked there for over 25 years, I don't think dual nationality was ever a possibility. You go there to work and pay taxes-no handouts if you don't earn enough to live- and unless you marry a Japanese lady, you go home.

No-one should be surprised as to how and why Japan has mostly avoided the nightmare of Islamic Terror. And rightly so.
Is it a coincidence that the countries with the least amount of a well-known Peaceful Religion inside their borders manage to avoid the Jihadist cancer? |
