No minutes silence or black armbands in Russia....

Oh well, the show must go on.

No mention indeed.

Mustn't upset the Peace Loving followers of Peaceful Religions that reputedly had "nothing to do with" the bombing.

I saw TV coverage recently of the commemoration of the Manchester Arena bombing . A couple of hours of live coverage of various music/dance acts and a handful of local celebrities adding their two-penneth worth . The targeting of a concert being attended mainly by young children and their parents was an abhorent act even by radical islamist standards .
However there was not one single mention of the fact that it was also 5 years to the day that an equally shocking act took place in which a serving soldier was butchered on the streets of London . An oversight ? A quick check of the BBC News website revealed no indication that such an evil act had ever taken place . Could this possibly be because to remember the public slaughter of a serving member of the armed forces would be seen to be politically incorrect in the current climate of appeasement ? Either way it was a truly shocking omission on the part of the State Broadcaster !

Be unusual for a 13th anniversary to be observed.
