BINO = Brexit in name only. The hardcore leavers will be seething when they realise they've been done up like kippers!

No way May will get away with a wishy-washy Brexit.
The backlash will be enormous. Oh for someone like Nigel Farage at the helm.

They only want one thing and thats the removal of the human rights act

Thats what this whole thing has been about from day 1

Just think what they can do with no human rights, but still have access to an eu army, civil disobedience will not be tolerated.

Not really ludicrous though

People laughed when others were telling them they'd leave in name only, they'd get rid of the red tape and human rights but stay in the EU, getting all the rubbish that the EU brings but without the back up of the European courts and human rights etc, you're better of just staying in imo

Countries that wanna leave only want to leave the red tape and not the cheap immigration etc.

The moment the media started pushing "soft or hard brexit" was the moment I knew they were going nowhere, and that was minutes after the vote came through Crazy, in a way they got the perfect result, they actually wanted the leave vote to win.

As if we/they didn't have enough problems persuading people to use their vote at election times. This could drive the public away in droves.
The country, decided by referendum, wants out of Europe.
Love it or loathe, that is a fact.
And it now looks as though it isn't going to happen.
Oh they'll call it brexit alright but the reality will be just a few rule-changes.

The commentators are saying that voters, as a result, will desert the tories and that they could lose the next election but where are they, the voters, going put their crosses next time?

Who else IS there?

There IS no Screaming lord Such.

I'm not familiar with the names of candidates linked to the green party,  lobby to save the grey squirrel, hedgehog, damsel fly etc.

Failure of the tories to deliver here, and you can't blame mdm May for being hog-tied by her own party, could kill what little confidence the public ever had in the ruling classes. This could set us back forever. Politics and democracy, as a concept, many never recover.

The only person who can save us, and Europe I reckon, although one of the other member countries, like France, could become the wrecking-crew, is BoJo.

But what do I know?
Report akabula July 8, 2018 8:13 PM BST
I very much doubt that May will last much longer.
Already open revolt at this and it will only get worse.
The problem is that there doesn't appear to be anybody capable of leading the party.

What I know about politics you could write on the back of a postage stamp but I reckon Boris is our man. He is seen by many as an oaf, a buffoon, and, like that old towcester specialist, a bit of a clown but he'd get the job done.
Let him GO charging in, like bull in a china shop. He doesn't seem to care what people think, treads on people's toes, would be happy for to just walk away, I think, and he's totally committed to GB plc.
Report akabula July 8, 2018 9:22 PM BST
I like Boris but not sure he can unite the party.
Assuming May goes I'd like to hear him say clearly that he won't be waylaid by in party fighting.
Tell the party what the voters voted for and that's what we'll do.
I'd rather we walked away with no deal rather than this rubbish.
