19 year old Katie Swan has just taken the first set against World No 40 Irina Begu. Be a great scalp if she can see it out.

I have backed Rafa @9.0, i think he is nearly back to his best.
Just watched a nice win for Katie Boulton. She Was a set and a break up (almost a double break up) but was taken to a 3rd set against her opponent. She kicked on well in the second half of that second set - a better experience than finishing it in two, imo.

I'm afraid I'll have to agree with The Dragon, I couldn't possibly be more underwhelmed about a sporting event as I am about this years Wimbledon.

Just cranked up the men's doubles. Cameron Norrie and Jay Clark are at 19 games all in the final set against their opponents. This game was carried over from last night so turned into a bit of an epic in more ways than one.

del po has tended to struggle with the low skidding bounce but the courts are like hard courts now & he looks good.

that was a great match and an epic 5th set. the 6-4 just does not tell the story of how close it really was
Superb game, Del P is my favourite player but his back hand is poor at this level.
the wrist injury changed the way he could play. he's done well to come back to this level.

Poor BBC only had a script for a Serena win, Barely mentioned Kerber before and after the final, a williams story is still higher than the winner today on the bbc tennis page.
