Harriet Dart takes 2nd set against The Robot !
By:
She played some good stuff in that second set. Hopefully she can kick on for the experience and break the Top 100
By:
Yes....played well...no sign of nerves....looks very determined.

Great thread, Leopard
![]() I nearly started one, but with Andy Murray out I'm not so interested this year. I would like Kyle Edmund to do well. I don't know much about him. I will be watching some of the matches. I hope to see Rafa in the Final. |
By:
Yes, we needed a Wimbers thread....
Rafa will be hard to beat unless injured I'm hoping S. Williams is knocked out......just boring with her winning all the time ! Last year was much better. She should take up boxing ! |

Brown tights too...yuk !

19 year old Katie Swan has just taken the first set against World No 40 Irina Begu. Be a great scalp if she can see it out.
We should also get Norrie v Bedene played tonight. Should be a good scrap that. |

Nice to see Wozzy coasting through the 1st round
By:
I have backed Rafa @9.0, i think he is nearly back to his best.

Just watched a nice win for Katie Boulton. She Was a set and a break up (almost a double break up) but was taken to a 3rd set against her opponent. She kicked on well in the second half of that second set - a better experience than finishing it in two, imo.
If Watson beats Fipkins (not sure), when would be the last time there were four of your British lady types in the 2nd round? |

like watching paint dry totally miserable sport --im out!!!
By:
I'm afraid I'll have to agree with The Dragon, I couldn't possibly be more underwhelmed about a sporting event as I am about this years Wimbledon.
I won't have a bet nor will I watch any of it from start to finish. |
By:
Just cranked up the men's doubles. Cameron Norrie and Jay Clark are at 19 games all in the final set against their opponents.
This game was carried over from last night so turned into a bit of an epic in more ways than one. |
By:
I will be watching Edmund v Djokovic later
![]() I believe it to be on at 4.15 on BBC2. TV scheduling is all over the place at the moment. Good luck Kyle and Good luck England ![]() |

Good luck MKD - I think you're a Federer fan at heart.

Not really. As amazing as Roger Federer is, I woudn't say I was a fan.

Federer is Finnish.
C'mon Rafa ![]() |

del po has tended to struggle with the low skidding bounce but the courts are like hard courts now & he looks good.
same for rafa tho, firms courts suit |
By:
that was a great match and an epic 5th set. the 6-4 just does not tell the story of how close it really was
By:
Superb game, Del P is my favourite player but his back hand is poor at this level.
By:
the wrist injury changed the way he could play. he's done well to come back to this level.
when he won the US open i thought nobody was going to stop him winning at least half a dozen slams. |
By:
Lucky to witness such good players.
