I'd like to know how these illegal migrant taxis are complying with the relevant laws by taking the people they pick up not to the nearest port (in say north africa) but
bussing them a long distance north to Italy or Spain? AFAIK they just hover a bit off the coast for just this purpose?!

It's odds on that there will be a devastating nuclear conflict before 2050. Africa may be the safest place to be.
