Mr Smith told the Commons: "Foie Gras is cruel to produce, unhealthy to eat and it's expensive to purchase.

If we can't produce it ourselves due to concerns over cruelty then the sooner we stop importing it the better.
Why people eat the stuff is a mystery to me, most people would give it the dog.

Says a man that has never eaten proper fg. Force feed a goose, eat cheap as sheet chicken that spend their whole lives in cruelty, not sure there is much difference myself, other than people thinking they are being mortally superior when in fact they generally just show their ignorance in how most meat is produced. Whats good for the goose and all that.....
