Brilliant artist .. saw him at the last ever concert in the UK .. Knebworth. Don't think he did too many drugs but was certainly enthusiastic about his sexuality.

Didn't do too many drugs,you gotta be kidding..

The sex and drugs in his life are true. He went completely celibate after he found out he had aids. Never asked for pity and fought until the end. For me there will never ever be any better in music.

RIP Freddie. We still desperately miss you.

All performers should be drug tested before going on stage....banned if they are on something.

The music biz is destoyed by drug use.....Jimmy Page was a shell of a man for 5 years.

Why Leopard?

I think Mercury was a performer drugs or not. I don't care if he took drugs or took it up the jacksy. He left behind something special even if " His teeth were too big for his mouth " according to one Village Idiot on here!

Many musicians were on drugs, some of the best of them too and they left behind amazing music that we still listen too today.

Not sure about that Leopard. Some, it is said were at their most creative when tripping and some would never have got on stage without some form of chemical assistance.

And well said Wd. He probably did take a lot up the jacksy but again, who cares?

They may all have produced a lot more if they hadn't dabbled so much.

Saw Queen at wembley,just before Live Aid, greatset concert i've ever seen, Mercury was sensational

His stint at Live Aid is still regarded by many as the best ever live performance. YouTube has it all and it often gets my attention

He was like that all the way through the concert i saw. The greatest showman in rock music.But like many performers, as shy as fc uk off stage

I keep hearing that they sold out and went carp after the early years but I don't think they did. They really didn't give a toss and tried all sorts of genres of music.Some of it was brilliant and some of it was awful in my opinion.

Going back to Freddie and his vocals if you listen to their last album Made In Heaven his vocals were just astonishing considering how close to death he was.
