Yes, have been watching this right from the first series (am only half way through this series so no spoilers please!).
Have to agree that it is a great show and I can't understand why they buried it.

For those that haven't heard of it - from Wikipedia:
The Americans is an American period drama television series created by Joe Weisberg for the FX television network. Set in the early 1980s during the Cold War, it is the story of Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys), two Soviet KGB officers posing as an American married couple living in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., with their children Paige (Holly Taylor) and Henry (Keidrich Sellati). Their neighbor Stan Beeman (Noah Emmerich) is an FBI agent working in counterintelligence.[2][3]
The Americans premiered in the United States on January 30, 2013, and ended on May 30, 2018, after six seasons.[4] The series has received widespread critical acclaim and is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time. [4][5][6][7][8]

ITV should have kept it on the main channel instead of moving it to ITV Encore after the second series to try and promote that channel as they have done the show a disservice.

quality scripts , acting and a well paced not rushed story . ITV no longer show US dramas , I think they thought they were buying American Idol.
Late night on Saturday ITV1 , then onto repeat channel ITV encore and finally graveyard shift on ITV4.
Now it has finished , time to start from series 1 again.

I watched the first two series, then as you say got buried. Didn't find it until series five so didn't bother. Not bad what I saw of it. A bit far fetched at times.

The Americans is one of the finest dramas you would wish to see if you are into the genre. I expect followers of Homeland would appreciate it. The Americans was highly rated by American reviewers (high 90s in Rotten Tomatoes). The acting from Matthew Rhys (Philip Jennings), Keri Russell (Elizabeth J), Holly Taylor (Paige J) and Noah Emmerich as Stan Beeman was outstanding (as was everyone else's in the talented cast).
Do not miss the brilliantly tense final episode of series 6.

Watched the final couple of episodes last night. I thought it was a great ending - not too rushed and not tying up all the loose ends in the last ten minutes (too many shows are guilty of this).
For anyone who starts watching it, it does lose its way a bit (series 3 or 4 - I can't remember now) but is definitely worth sticking with.
Will join Fargo and the Wire as one of my favourite shows ever.

Was first introduced to it on an international flight and struggled to find it on more than a handful of occasions since. Would quite happily watch it from start to finish if anyone knows where such a thing exists?
