Only eight for me, and wouldn't even have done that without the choices!
I was useless on the citizenship questions, and would struggle to name all of the counties, and yet I can name all 49 US States!

Re American States - great drinking/winning game. Ask any American to name all fifty states and write them down in 15 minutes. About 98% of Americans are enormously confident that they can do it, and about 98% of them cannot. A little tip, if they don't start doing it in alphabetical order, you know you've won. If they do start alphabetically, don't worry you've probably still won.

Aspro - in terms of knowledge of the subject yes, but the peculiar thing about the question is that virtually all Americans think it is really really easy and it isn't. The trick is that it takes a considerable slice of the 15 minutes just to write them all down, leaving less time that is required to think of them all. It is a cracker of a question.
Almost on a par with "how many people do you need in a room for it to become more likely rather than less likely that two of those people will share the same birthday (day/month)".

I've heard that last one; on here ironically. Surprisingly little eh?
I was invited to a Hearts tournament in Vegas in 2003 where I met many Americans who I'd played with online. I once asked how many States there were and even they couldn't agree on the number, let alone the names. They're not as bright as they like to think.
Good question yes but I'd guess that a group of them probably couldn't get them all.
