What I have tried to Say is that if you can Replace the car with the Insurance Pay out and as Mega said you paid over the Top any way you are in the Same position as you were you pay the Credit off as you were Going to do anyway ,What if the Vehicle had been stolen > be the Same
![]() Would the car have been yours at the End of the Hire Purchase ? Say for Instance I take out a 1000 Payday loan buy a Cheap car for a Bag ,Some fcker Nicks it I would only get the 1000 value off the Insures and still owe the prob 500 interest on the Loan ,,, The car was insured not a Loan .. Go Car sound like Extortionists tbh |
|
By:
"as there was 470 of outstanding premiums as i paid monthly for my car insurance" I pay Monthly for Mine what is Outstanding is a Loan not the Premiums once the Insurance is cancelled a settlement is made ??
Same if you buy a Different car and switch insurance they sort the Difference out either way ?? I am not sure what is Going on here Tbh other than Go Car appear to have got the Lot . |

I can't make this out either, but I do know a little bit about cars and I feel sorry for people getting ripped off with these ridiculous loans and finance deals etc btw you can get a hell of a lot of car for 4k these days. This geezer obviously needed a car for his clan and these providers were rubbing their hands, I wish him all the best I'm done here

don't see why he would make up a story about a horse if it wasn't a horse
some very cynical people on here |

i think the moral of the story is that should you buy a car on finance then gap insurance is a necessity, then at least should you come a cropper with your car youre back close to your original financial situation.

Indeed barrowboy
I won't be making that mistake again!! Even though no gap insurer in the world pays out on a third party fault claim, it's up to you to go down the small claims route! There is a reason why only 15% of claims are paid out and settled by gap insurers! I came on for some moral support and hoped for some additional advice as to what extra can be claimed for Moral of that is stay well clear of anonymous forums such as this where people lose their shirts on nags and are in dream land where they think they make a living as the vast majority like nothing more than being keyboard warriors |

The irony will be lost on you with that comment. You brought a car that was worth £4.8k for £8.5k! You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work out why you did that. |

kenbo...it's even worse than that;car only seems to be worth £2395 after one year.

STS.....In bewtween the cynicism, and friendly banter, there are those wanting to help, but being incredulous of the whole affair!
If it makes you feel any better, I will relate to you one of my own experiences..... Very many long years ago I had a Rover 3500s. A superb car in every way. I took a job, with the benifit of a company car so needed to sell the Rover. I was aware of a dealer who had only Rovers, and had them presented in front of a beatiful house. I never met him, but saw him enough times to see that he looked decent, and a bit of an old "Ex Colonel" type, with his bouffant grey hair and eccentric moustache! Went to see him and he said he had someone coming from Scarborough at the weekend and could I leave the car with him. Agreed the deal, and left it a couple of days later, and got picked up by a new work colleague. Guy phoned to say he was now coming Monday, but on Monday lunchtime, out in my new car, my Rover passed, opposite me, on the A64. Back to the office and called 'the colonel' and yes, he had bought it. Called after work and got two cheques; one for me and one for the finance company. Both cheques bounced so I was shafted! They were represented but didn't clear. It transpired that, on finally speaking to the "Sheriff's Office" (ride 'em cowboy) he was due in "The Wakefield Crown Court" on eleven charges, and mine would be added on the end! Needless to say he was bankrupted!! Sorry for the long story but, I reckon there will be others on here with hard luck tales! |

You might want to upgrade your security Lady Faye. Particularly if you still live on that main bus route.

Crisp, you are no doubt correct, and I'm just looking at more secure knots, to tie the gate!
I wasn't in the scouts so never acquired the skills! A "Bowline" looks good, and I'll also use some thicker string....., |

You seem a very angry and disturbed indivudual with an aggressive attitude. If I recall correctly, your previous posts on here haven't given that impression at all. Why the change ? |
