we will see how eager the black community are to help stop knife crime after this beauty of a video.

there are some of the community that do want to stop it but they are going to have to be very brave to get out on the streets

but if the coppers arrest one and gets killed then you will see many more only interested in the black lives matter movement

you have to wonder don't you -

I was out in the countryside today, loads of Mamils but not a single woman.  I thought women were supposed to be really into cycling and felt that they weren't getting enough coverage in the media for their tours?

I am currently 18 months into a 30 month contract, managing the construction of 10 miles of cycle way in North London.
Originally under Boris's tenure, when it went to a public survey it was 18pc for, 82pc against but they went ahead with it anyway.
It has undoubtedly had a negative effect on a lot of small businesses, as a lot of the parking spaces for cafes/corner shops/ takeaways have
been removed to accommodate the cycle ways. How many of us will pay a £1 to park in an NCP just to buy a paper???
And most of the bus laybys have been removed, so every time a bus stops, traffic has to queue up and wait till the bus moves off.

London boroughs are mainly staffed by BAME people who are just happy to have a half decent job.
So when the powerful MOMENTUM backed cycling lobby,  strongly put forward their opinions few will argue, as it might
jeopardize their comfy jobs.
Even Sadique Khan has gone along with it, as he too is just a spokesperson.

So I think this guy is making a political statement against the all-powerful MOMENTUM group, and not just coming out with PC bollox.

good evening mmm, not that I'm trying to disturb your relaxation Happy
I don't know - perhaps you can tell me, because I can't find any evidence of it...
I honestly am no fan of momentum, nor have I any affinity for any of it, BUT
Where is momentum lobbying for cycling? Is it THAT powerful?
I've found cycling UK lobbying for it via the "Space for cycling campaign".
Given the "Boris bike" stuff of a few years ago and the fact that this work started "under Boris's tenure" I'm struggling to see why the capitalised momentum references and why London Boroughs being BAME staffed is affecting minority voting for Cycle paths being carried a few years ago.

A bit like the Pete & Dud "Tarzan" sketch;
Your first paragraph, I like. I like your 1st paragraph. A lovely paragraph for the role. That's what I said when I saw you'd posted. I said "A lovely paragraph for the role." I've got nothing to follow your 1st paragraph. The trouble is - neither have you.
Yes, it's inadequate, Mr. Moon. And, to my mind, the British public is not ready for the sight of a one-paragraph cycling through the London byways. However, don't despair. After all, you score over a man with no paragraphs at all. Should a no paragraph man come in here making a point, I should have no hesitation in saying "Get out. Run away."

I am among them. case.
Even in small towns, councillors trying to make a little mark and be important, have sanctioned completely pointless cycle lanes and even more pointless areas at the front at traffic lights so cyclists can wait in front of cars and then pull away first.

All this doesn't even take into account the way cyclists ride:
Freewheeling down slight hills holding up traffic.
Riding 2 abreast.
Going through Red lights (especially in London).
Not signalling.

I think it's all being done so as to remove as many parking spaces as possible, then fleece drivers who need to park somewhere

I drove a motorbike for a while too. I lived in Leyton, worked in Mayfair (casinos). It was dangerous. I had quite a few knocks. None my fault.
Wouldn't do it now.

When I lived in London I had a bike.  I loved it, absolutely the best way of getting round.  However it is undoubtedly dangerous and you get the feeling that sooner or later you're going to be involved in an accident.

I'm sure that London's Cycling Commissioner will be thrilled to learn that this exemplary exponent of Cycling Diversity received a suspended sentence.

Being White, Male and Middle Class is not a crime is it, as far as I am aware?

I do not believe White, Male and Middle class men actually prevent women or other ethnic groups cycling do they?

SO PLEASE STOP BLAMING WHITE, MALE, MIDDLE CLASS men for everything

If this commissioner wants to encourage more women or people of different ethnic groups to cycle be all means do.

At the moment they do not choose to do this by their own CHOICE!

No one stops them.
By:
UBLE/REGY
When: 28 Nov 18 01:25
As someone posted earlier it would be the ethnic minorities more likely to stop women cycling?

If a white male told his wife not to cycle, he would risk getting the cycle wrapped round his head, and his daughter

would take no notice either.

Just my opinion.

women have to have the right sort of clothing to cycle - in fact they would prefer you not to do it at all - that's why you don't see many of them - you know who I mean

No CD player, no texting, no satnav and no furry dice on a bike.  Until they sort out those issues it will always be primarily white middle class males.
