Several pages would flash up quickly, you'd record the programme and then pause it on each page to read.  The missus doesn't recall, but I'm sure it was around about 20 years ago.

The US comedy producer/writer Chuck Lorre flashes up a page for just a very short time at the end of his productions like the big bang theory, two and a half men. He/they call them vanity card. Here's almost 600 of them here :)

I remember them, Lybertyne. Then again, I'm old enough to also recall the national anthem being played when transmissions ended for the evening.
