Can you get documentaries on Amazon Prime? There doesn't seem to be a category for it, and the only ones I can find are long running TV shows.
Report morpteh mackem May 16, 2018 7:39 PM BST
the looming tower on amazon prime is worth a look, about pre 9/11 relationship between cia and fbi.

Netflix in the UK is pretty limited.  But if you get access to the US version, different story.
Report patrick starr May 16, 2018 8:31 PM BST
i enjoyed the looming tower mm,it was a bit of an all or nothing tho i felt with some of the acting, some very good, some very poor!

Goliath also very good.

For anyone that needs it. Allows you to see what films they have before you sign up, as otherwise impossible. 90% dross is a bit strong too. I only get Netflix the odd month here and there and have it right now, but off the top of my head currently: Avengers Assemble, Civil War, Winter Soldier, Men in Black 3, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Cloverfield, Cabin in the Woods and actually thinking about it, the list would be quite long if I went on
Report s.kenbo May 17, 2018 4:46 PM BST
Your examples aren't inspiring me to sign up again, JC!

Yesterdays new film on Sky Cinema is worth watching. It's called Shot Caller, and it's about a blue collar worker who gets sent to prison for DUI. Whilst in there he rises up the prison ranks to become the top dog.

Yep, took me an episode and a half to work that out.

Only thing keeping me watching was Ronnie O'Sullivan's missus Love

I thought he did a fairly good accent, although right at the start I did wonder if he was supposed to be an Aussie.
Half way through it and it's pretty good.
One of those small town mystery things where everybody has a dark secret which has been done loads of times but
well above average for the genre, imo.

think i did the series in 3 days - watched the last 6 in one sitting till 5am and was up for work at 7 - going to wait to hear about series 2 from people that have watched it - initial instinct is that it would be impossible to follow up and maybe should have just been left as a great one-off

13 reasons was brilliant (horrific scene in final episode, tho)

didn't know there was a 2nd season.

It was a common reaction. Silly to me how people went to see the sequel to a very popular horror movie about a giant alien creature, and were surprised when at the end there was a giant alien creature

Report s.kenbo May 28, 2018 5:34 PM BST
I've not seen the first film, but after a quick Google search it sounds like it was sequel in name only?

I wouldn't have watched it if I knew a giant alien creature was going to be involved. You can add anything involving zombies, ghosts, dragons, wizards or sorcerers to my 'films to avoid' list!

So it is memorial day in the USA and a any other president would give fulsome praise to the sacrifice of others.
Not this twisted sociopath though he, as usual, manages to make it mostly about him. unbe*******lievable

Happy Memorial Day! Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!

I read somewhere a while back that they have hidden films too. You need a code but it brings up many films not advertised. I tried it and it works but you'll need to search online for the codes.

Also I don't know if you guys have the same but my sister is a member and has 5 people she can add so I get my Netflix for free anyway. Wasn't really looking to join but for free it's a no brainer if you can find someone using it already.
Report Aspro June 1, 2018 8:20 AM BST
I watched 'Devil' the other night on there. Not the best film you'll ever watch but for just 1 hour and 20 minutes it is watchable and good premise too. 5 people get stuck in a lift, one is the Devil. Things happen but which one is doing it and why?

5 people can watch on the same account 'at a time'. You can share your login details with as many people as you like. I share my netflix account with 9 people Grin It has never happened that more than 5 were watching at the same time.
