It's worth remembering that there's plenty of horsey people blame pollen/air pollution for horses bursting blood vessels and UK athletics/cycling use similar excuses for exercise induced asthma for their TUE use (rightly or wrongly) so would be no surprise to find it a direct cause in some people.

its only ever the same nostril though, so it must be weak blood vessel, should get it checked out but terrified of the doctors and always look for an excuse not to go

No it only lasts a couple of minutes and its just a bit of blood (blood tends to spread and looks worse than it is), and same, theyll have me on blood pressure tablets, anti depressents and god knows what else they do more harm than good long term.

Never had any problem with nosebleeds until 3 years ago when started to have a few very heavy nosebleeds lasting about 10 - 12 mins. Went to doctor and was sent to hospital, had a small little op to cauterize the inside of the nose - this seals the blood vessel. In-and-out of hospital the same day.
