The media completely over-egged it in the first place. A few missiles at sites that could be used for chemical weapons production...the whole thing last about an hour. They acted like it was all out war.

Illegal and unlawful have slightly different meanings, although they are often used interchangeably. Something that is illegal is against the law, whereas an unlawful act merely contravenes the rules that apply in a particular context.

the Russian say the inspectors found no evidence of a chemical attack, but you expect them to say that of course
We all know it was a staged event managed by the white helmets, it would be nice to see what results of the inspection they come up with.
