Depends on what mods are on.
I get loads of my political pics refused but I keep uploading and eventually they get through. Although sometimes after they've been accepted and I've posted they get removed. Some people don't like criticism or fun poked at certain subjects. |

The BBC are broadcasting his speech this weekend....I have no problem with that. He should not be censored. Sadly the British people were never allowed a debate on immigration.

The progressives over emphasise the 'rivers of blood' phrase.
That was said for effect, to get a headline and people talking and it worked. What he actually meant was that mass immigration will be a bad thing for this country and one of the consequences will be violence. He was correct. Radio 5 live 'debated' it a bit this morning but steered clear of Rotherham etc, terrorism and London's violence. They bury their heads and demonise a dead man who was correctly predicting the future outcome of a ludicrous policy. |

powell was clearly wrong, and a racist
broadcasting his speech will highlite it for a new generation and show the racist attitudes that were around at the time, which the legislation (he was trying to prevent) prevented from being normalised. of course some fascist types will see the broadcast as a tribute. hey ho, |

Depends what you mean by racist donny. If it's racist to suggest some people from other cultures will cause problems, then yes, he was racist.
But it's also a correct position to hold given what's happening. It's sensible to seek to protect this country from those who will do harm if they come here. We've enough nutters of our own ta very much. The use of the word 'racist' to silence debate has done us a great deal of harm. See Telford, East London, Manchester Arena etc etc... |

his speech was politics to drum up support for his opposition to race relations act that wasnt about immigtation, it was about treating folk in a vile and inhumane manner have you read speech and about his motives? |

They would never give the vote to the mere servants on immigration, as they know the answer would be 90% not in favour.

Powell saw dangers in mass immigration of black and Asian cultures.
Judging from what's happening in Germany, Sweden, France and the UK he was right to be anxious. Opponents of Powell's views consider current events a price worth paying in order to be seen to be 'diverse'. I don't. |
