If my home was surrounded by people who want me dead. I would not hesitate to take them out, whatever their religion. This is how the Israelis have to live, most of them were born after these troubles began, did not seize any land and did not ask to be born there.

A long time ago and history contains many examples of bad decisions. Muslims today are killing each other in huge numbers and would like to do the same to Isarelis, that's the way it is.

Two sides to every tale.
The British Balfour declaration of 1917 promised to take away the lands of the Palestinians. The Muslim community has vowed to wipe out the State of Israel in return. There is no peaceful solution to the problem created a century ago. These people have hatred in their hearts which will never heal and cannot be resolved. Which should never be forgotten. |

If I was attacked by a mob using ANY weapons (stones, torches, guns, knives) I would defend myself with any means available. If the Israeli position had been adopted at Calais-a red line drawn with a machine gun nest and telling the mobs that if they crossed the line they would be killed- there would not be too many illegal immigrants in the UK. Sorry to upset the Guardian reader, let em all in types on this forum! If you don't want to be killed, don't attack. It is the UK's liberal attitude that has resulted in London having a higher murder rate than New York due to stabbings. These knife murderers should be eliminated, not a holiday in one of Her Majesty's hotels! The guy who drove drunk the wrong way down the M62 murdered 2 innocent civilians. He will get a short stay inside and come out afterwards as if nothing happened to him. Hope nothing happens to the families of all the luvvies on this forum! It might possibly change their minds!

If nothing else, history has shown that massive overreaction has led to peace. Decades ago, when Israeli troops were faced with Palestinian teenagers throwing stones they called in the gunships and blew up the entire neighbourhood. And look now! It worked. Just peace for miles around. The Palestinians learnt that they weren't allowed to demonstrate even as more of their sovereign land was stolen from them and now just hand flowers to the invading force. And the best bit is that the west's support or consistent blind-eye to Israel's actions has meant that muslims see us as their friends and don't blame us at all for their friends and family being murdered. We need to do the same here. Anyone arrested after the Tottenham should have been made an example of and put up against a wall and shot. And anyone who protested that should be shot too. That'd soon convince everyone that we're in the right. |

Hamas want to destroy Israel "from the river to the sea". This is morally indefensible.
This conflict is the result of the Arab world refusing to accept Israel's existence within any set of borders. We can't wish this away, Israel has the right to defend its borders and its citizens. |

foin - you might want to read up on how Israel has - well - re-defined its borders in the last 50 years or so. If it had stayed within the borders it was granted then there might not be any trouble.

POP-No point in discussing anything with you. From what I remember of your postings, we are diametrically opposed on every single issue. Whatever I say about you views, you will say about mine and vice versa. So really there is no point. I very much doubt that PoP. In '67 when the original borders were in place, the surrounding Arab nations amassed their troops with the intention of destroying Israel. Israel defeated them but they might not be so lucky next time. They need the buffer zone of the West Bank due to the narrowness of the country under the old borders making it potentially easy for an organised aggressor to cut it in half.

That happens to be the case with every living human on the planet. Everything within civilisation is taken as tacit agreement that all those that follow the minority who went before agree with the shackles placed upon them by those who gained from the creation of the system. The Palestinans don't seem to have evolved much over the past couple of thousand years and they seem to be incapable of making decisions which could and would lead them into a better future. Whilst however they are governed by a party that's aim is to destroy Israel there is no hope for them.In truth the best approach which would settle the matter once and for all would be a full scale military land invasion resulting in Gaza becoming a vassal state.

Its absolutely sickening to know people are still chanting Trumps name, after everything they've been saying about Israel under the Obama and Bush presidency's, to then just change their tone as soon as Trump hops right into bed with them and not only hopping into bed with them but causing massive uproar, death and destruction, well what can we say, it'd be hilarious if there wasn't kids lying sprawled on the pavements, an absolute joke and these people deserve Donald Trump, and everything he stands for.
