And within minutes there was a wave of support for Mr Smith on Twitter from Labour MPs critical of Mr Corbyn.

Jeremys days are numbered.

Labour need to ditch Corbyn and McDonnell along wit Abbott and Rayner who are both incompetent.
Install someone like Tom Watson as leader and they'd stroll the next election.
Would like to see Thornberry ditched too.

If Owen wishes to go public against official Labour policy then he should expect to be replaced.
Although calling for a second referendum vote seems a very minor proposal to lose his job over.

Good riddance if he's that desperate to draw attention to himself.

He always was an attention seeker.
All you needed to know about this guy was exposed when he laughably stood against Corbyn in the Leadership contest !!

'Not a team player' apparently. So what about Keir Starmer whose sole purpose in life is to keep us in the Single Market (and therefore in the EU)?

P****** me to think of how many times Jezza is credited with opposing the party line and being proved right on issues like Iraq but the Labour party of today rushes to deselect or sack anyone who oposes the party line ????
