"No child under 18 can ever consent to being sexually abused and exploited. Under UK law, a boy or girl under the age of 16 cannot consent to any kind of sexual activity and it is an offence for anyone to have any sexual activity with a person under the age of 16."

^

Is this for real.

Surely no person can 'consent to being sexually abused and exploited.'
As for with people under 16 it should be life in prison.

This will not go away. But details will be released in small well spaced portions to allow damage limitation to those who allowed it, and to stop public outrage boiling over.

'Assistant Chief Constable Martin Evans said he was pleased that a "small number of victims" have had the confidence to come forward and they were now being given appropriate support.'

Trying to downplay it by using 'small number'

while senior police officers say it has been sensationalised - it has been going on for 40 years!!!

as I always say - it starts at the top - no wonder when people come into contact with the police you get so much disappointment -
it starts with instructions from senior politicised officers to the force

roughly 80 percent of perps are thought to be white mainly acting as loners

however there is another group who specialise in highly organised trafficking  groups etc WITHIN the country

there are also other groups that bring victims in from europe

The latest in the mirror - police whistleblowers tell how cover ups happened and look at the excuses.

Corruption and cover up a national scandal about these girls.

BBC Homepage got a story now:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-43471241

A 16-year-old mother killed in a fire by the man who groomed her was "100%" let down by the authorities, her daughter has said.

Lucy Lowe was 14 when she became pregnant by Azhar Ali Mehmood, 26, in Telford, a town at the centre of child sexual exploitation claims.
By:

When: 20 Mar 18 15:18
Lucy's father George Lowe, 73, said he believes the authorities did "nothing" to protect his daughter, who was described at Mehmood's trial as being in a "relationship" with her killer, despite her being underage.

^

Totally unacceptable. How can someone underage be 'in a relationship'?
