I don't really get him to be honest and don't find him in the slightest bit amusing but fair play to the bloke, he has made truckloads of cash and obviously he has a big following on both sides of the pond so you can't argue with that.

I don't know who he is so have just googled him. Something about the late late show? Not seen that and still none the wiser, perhaps a blessing in disguise?

Tbf I liked the History Boys but in that he's been told what to say and do.
By:
I don't dislike him as he's made his career on his personality which is to be applauded in these vain, looks and body important times.
Much more annoying would be his greedy pal Flintoff especially after the 'boxing' debacle,at one point he was never off the box. |
By:
He's a total andrex imo.
By:
The're not all bad though. I think J. Cleese is brilliant.

By:
Oh dear,
They're not all bad. |

Its a strange new world we live in, a world where the likes of Corden, Gervais, Ant & Dec have hugely successful careers.

By:
Corden and Gervais are quite good writers whereas I would imagine Ant & Dec have scriptwriters.

I remember a sort of 'incident' between Corden and I a few years ago on the London Underground. I've no idea what caused it, but by pure chance I found myself standing just a few feet away from Corden and a very scruffy looking mate of his. Oh, by the way, this was about 6 months or so before he got the Late Late Show gig. For some reason he started glaring at me and was giving me the evils as they say. I tried to avoid his gaze, but he just kept on staring at me. At one point I thought he was going to say something very unpleasant to me, but it wasn't until I started to talk to my nephew who was next to me that he looked away and carried on his conversation with his scruffy looking mate. I felt very uncomfortable about the while thing.
I think he could be a bit of a monster off camera. No words were exchanged between him and I, just stressful body language on his part. I'm sure if you're a mate of his, he's absolutely fine, but do you remember the spat he had live on camera between him and the actor who played Captain Pickard in Star Trek. That was very odd, and never really found out what it was all about! |

I think Patrick Stewart was making fat jokes for which he took offence
I've said it before but I don't understand why fat people who've gotten fat through gluttony or being idle take offence if they were that bothered they wouldn't have let it get that far in the first place. |
By:
Maybe he thought I was looking at him in a 'fat' sort of way then - who knows!
By:
In your case mokegibboni it doesn't paint him in a good light we just see them when they are 'acting' on the box
By:
Larry Lamb told a story about the filming of a Gavin & Stacey episode that involved having a curry at Mick's house. He said that Corden was going ballistic about anyone touching his curry and everyone thought he was ad-libing but it turned out that he really would have killed anyone going near his food.

starting!!
He's always got on my nerves lol |
By:
I think there are only two perosnalities who really iritate me and they are James Corden and Russell Brand. I think it's the combination of sanctimony and insincerity.
By:
It's virtually impossible to be in that industry and not say the right things. They cannot all be of one mind so insincerity is unavoidable.
By:
It's a question of degree. They are both overwhelmingly insincere, sanctimonius and hypocritical
By:
But both have a massive following of fans. How do you explain that ?
By:
Plenty of idiots in the world
By:
Hitler had plenty of followers. So does Scientology.
By:
It shows how ridiculous and easily impressed we are when young. I used to think Paul Weller was a role model, now I see him as a miserable champagne socialist. I can't think of a single pop celebrity I would waste 5 minutes listening to now I am older.
By:
But these two are entertainers, succesful in films, on stage, on TV and as authors.
They obviously are talented. |
By:
Hitler was talented so is David Miscavige.
By:
And Rolf Harris, talent has no correlation with character flaws.
By:
Agree to a point Saddo . John Lydon springs to mind !!
But plenty of ' old blues men and rockers ' still around who are brilliant ![]() |
