It is very silly to accuse people of something without any proven evidence.  But they do this all the time with a certain group.
Wait to evidence has been gathered.

Lordy, that quote's one to keep on file next time there's an "incident"

They almost completely ignore Telford because it is one group involved - I rest my case
Not that porky cares - they are his friends

I sometimes wonder whether stories like these are intended to keep the likes of Telford away from the public gaze.

No Injera. Why poison someone with a nerve agent and create such a storm when people can easily be kept busy with transgender toilets and stuff.

Makes you wonder though, its just come out that the investigation could take weeks. Well they've already pretty much blamed Russia yesterday, with no evidence and have just pretty much admitted that. its pathetic how sloppy these governments are to be honest, and even more how sloppy they are in the media. So is Theresa May going to come out and apologise for jumping the gun yesterday?

It's all very odd. The media are fascinated as well which I find strange. Coincidentally close to Porton Down where we've probably got lots of naughty stuff..

As for Telford - Amber Rudd preferred to visit Salisbury..

Your getting things mixed up here. The source of the nerve-agent has been identified. The ongoing investigation is into the actual incident.

1stTP Was surprised this hasn't been mentioned but I'm sure there must be some police presence at the hospital.

It's about Russia election. Good for Putin to be able to point the finger at how the big bad West is against Russia.

The Protectors on ITV4 right now about a rogue Russian scientist, the KGB and a deadly toxin.

Cult tv series from the 70s

Agree with detravellers post.  Seems like it's primarily a deliberate show of defiance from Russia rather than a specific attempt to get rid of Skripal

Has Putin bullied his way into a position he cannot leave? Immense paper profits stashed away from asset stripping the country's resources, but could he realise them if he left, and where would he go? It seems like he will do anything to stay in power and he is looking rather similar to Sadam and Assad, no safe way out.

why would he retire, its probably part and parcel,.. that he needs to maintain
his position to maintain his position.

Expelling 23 diplomats and no delegation for world cup. This looks serious. I wish they had concrete proof(and could release it publicly). Putin said himself, get to the bottom of this and then ask him whatever you want to ask.

As long as it looks like he's responsible he'll be happy I would think.

All seems a bit petty to me. Tomorrow Russia will no doubt expel some of our lot.

Yes that will really hurt vlad the slayer.  I didn't know we hanged people before a fair trial either  - but there you go.

Absolute no winner here.

Will he be so wounded that he stops sending us gas  - he keeps sending us freezing cold weather - is this the secret plot??  Freeze us out??

Pretty pathetic tbh. how is expelling 23 diplomats sending a message to them? I mean they want nothing to do with us anyway, the only thing that'll even remotely bother them is getting other countris on board and boycotting the world cup, if she managed to get some big countries on board they'd start to get annoyed perhaps. Russia did nothing but its obviously a witch hunt against Putin.

If the Russian people are silly enough to elect Putin I don't see why we should do anything more, I enjoy watching England in the world cup why should Putin spoil that
The world cup should never be held in a country like that of course but that's a different matter

Putin has made sure no one else can be elected.

What should happen is that Russia should be expelled from the world cup, the world cup should go ahead elsewhere or if not possible held elsewhere next summer

May has 'suspended all high level contact' with Russia.

Why are leaders so petulant and retaliatory?? So Russia has upset us and we're not on talking terms. Pathetic.

Cry

Topmorrow will be Russia's turn. Tit for tat politics. And they're grown ups??
