You can not separate the religion of a country and the religion of people within that country from the nature of that country,

Of course it takes time, things do not change overnight, but it is very difficult to build a safe and free and peaceful society, it is dependent on people believing in the same things in the main and in who they want their society to be, and the freedoms they wish to have, not different things

you see the problem in a democracy is that you are bound by the people within that democracy, if they do not believe in the same things as yourself , or have the same way of looking at freedoms and democracy etc then you have a very major problem

This is also truly shocking. Leaving aside the barbarity of the perpetrators those who saw what was heppening and looked away. This is not just shameful but I feel in many cases there was criminal neglect.

Even if someone thinks a 14yo girl willinghly had sex with an adult and he is in a position of authority he must also conclude that a man had sex with a child and that is illegal. I can't begin to imagine what is in the minds of the inbreds and cave dwellers but I sometimes cannot believe what supposedly good men are thinking by turning a blind eye. That for me is even more shocking than because we should know better.
