Sounds about right IMO. No more mash than that though...I use beef mince as I do not like lamb mince (cottage pie) I also put baked beans in it Crazy

My Cottage Pie is 60/30.  The other 10% is half carrot and half onion.  No beans in mine, but I do add a dash or two of Worcestershire Sauce.

Funnily enough I'm having cottage pie tonight,a bottle of Cava beforehand.. Homage to Jeffery Archer who famously used to serve up Sherherds pie and Champagne to his party guests.

Why make a pie?....waste of time....pile of mince ...pile of mash ...some people don't 'arf complicate life.

Licking plate compulsory.

I always put a couple of spoonfuls of Marmite in with the mince and moisok correct, cheese topping essential.
