ok Charlie heres a reasoned argument for you

Schoolchildren are being shot, guns would stop the person doing the shooting

What is so difficult to understand about that ?

1 + 1 = 2

Armed guard stood by and let it happen + FBI stood by and let it happen = False Flag Attack.

No need to arm guards / teachers or get rid of the 2nd amendment. Just stop the false flag attacks.

They want to bring America / The west down. This is part of their strategy to disarm America... Is what a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theory nut job would say. But not me. I don't believe all that nonsense, I believe 100% what our lovely politicians tell me and the always truthful, fully independent MSM.

Politicians have armed guards. Celebrities have armed guards. Rich people have armed guards. Why not schools?

I don't see any point in answering that gmad, your answer will be different to mine
that seems to be to be quite clear, I don't want to hear your answer anyway.
that seems to me to be a good solution

lfc, stick your fingers in your ears for this one...

We all know mad situations can develop. Imagine this scenario...

A troublesome kid plays up. Teacher gets angry. Kid reaches innocently into his bag. Teacher thinks it's a gun he's reaching for. Teacher reaches for his gun...

Just one more then I'll shut up I promise...

Kid has a toy gun for his birthday. He want's to show it his friends at school. He sneaks it in even though it's contraband. Teacher is armed...

What could possibly go wrong with that I wonder...?

a simple solution even you can understand, toy guns are not dangerous I am not going to be too worried about toy guns
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Feb 18 09:21
the same applies to toy soldiers, I suppose they will ban them from shops next if you are really worried

Hmmm, I think your'e slightly missing the point.

Never mind, I'm always missing the point. Even on this thread I've missed the point at least one time.

ok gmad I admit there might be situations were things could go wrong, but I trust the teachers and the examples you give are imo very very unlikely
On balance it is essential that the schoolchildren have the security and protection of knowing armed security personnel will be there to protect them and save them

On reflection, yes, youre probably right.

Imagine the furore a (innocent) kid getting shot by an armed teacher would provoke. A massive propaganda coo for the anti gun lobby. Politicians, media pundits, etc. would milk that for all it's worth, as they already do with the mass shootings.

I'm sure they wouldn't engineer such a situation though, you know, those hell bent on strict gun control. They wouldn't do that.

Er, here's a revolutionary thought....how about we actually look at why kids are being shot?

Who would have possibly thought that having firearms leads to shooting? Call me Mr Controversial but how about making it a tad more difficult to attain a gun than a box of fireworks?

It's radical but you know, perhaps bringing the firearms legislature in line with Western Europe?.....where surprisingly enough we don't witness such regular mass shootings Crazy

But maybe you speak a lot of sense. Educators should be trained marksmen too. Perhaps parents could also help by popping a little hand grenade in the childs lunch box too. Better to be safe than sorry and all that.

charwell there are guns hundreds of thousands of them in America, that is something that has to be looked at in the long term
Now that is the reality

In China they had no guns, knives and cleavers and they had a series of attacks in kindergarden and primary schools, fatalaties and terrible injuries
That was the reality then and after an attack  the Chinese decided to put security into schools throughout the country

Now that is what should be done in America, now, because that is the reality now
So stop talking nonsense about how it might be , that will not protect any schoolchildren if there is an attack tomorrow, they will be defenceless

Now I don't expect to have to explain that to you again

The case against arming teachers
More “good guys with guns” wouldn’t be enough — and would likely make a lot of problems worse

its very clear if the state is not prepared to protect its citizens then the vast majority of good and sensible people must protect themselves
I wouldn't be against grandfathers of children in these schools standing a regular guard at the schools

Don't say it's because we could shoot someone and say we thought it was a burglar.

That South African tried that and he didn't get away with it.
It seems to work okay in America, and it keeps the lid on burglary offences.
