Bernie Saunders applied for 'conscientious objector status' to dodge it too.Laugh

Trump was at a Military Cadet School when he was younger rising up to be Captain.

Nearly three-quarters of Americans age 17 to 24 are ineligible for the military due to obesity, other health problems, criminal backgrounds or lack of education,

Don't knock Trump he's a brave man who very disappointed not to be able to fight in Vietnam. It's not his fault that a doctor diagnosed him with painful bone spurs in his heels that stopped him joining the military. It's a shame he didn't pass his sick note onto his PE teacher as it never stopped him playing basketball in college Mischief

what leftists are going to have to understand is that the world has changed
We don't care if Trump didn't serve in Vietnam
If they don't have to care about Bill Clinton, or Saunders or Ali not serving we are under no obligation to care about Trump

Now is Trump brave? I have no idea, I only know he didn't serve in Vietnam
..just like Clinton and saunders and ali and many others
They will have had their own reasons

Guess what, they wont be any more praiseworthy than trumps reasons
Dont fool yourselves about that

I have no idea what they might be, in any event I don't care

How many of following traits does Trump display?

Has an exaggerated sense of self-importance
Has a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration
Expects to be recognised as superior even without achievements that warrant it
Exaggerates achievements and talents
Is preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
Believes they are superior and can only associate with equally special people
Monopolises conversations and belittles or looks down on people they perceive as inferior
Expects special favours and unquestioning compliance with their expectations
Takes advantage of others to get what they want
Has an inability or unwillingness to recognise the needs and feelings of others
Is envious of others and believes others envy them
Behaves in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious
Insists on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office

Machiavellian Traits ( possibly copied and pasted ) Northanlite, probably explains why he is a billionaire, married to a supermodel and is leader and the most powerful man of the western world.

You don't achieve the things he has achieved by being a shrinking violet, obviously he has the alpha male traits to get where he is today and to stay there.
By:

When: 27 Feb 18 23:53
some people find those traits disturbing although you obviously admire them. Surely they are a sure sign he will
always put his wants before the good of the nation.

So you think America First and MAGA are just made up catchphrases to keep Trumps ego happy.
What he has done in Office so far contradict this so far.
Anyway we're going off script, this thread is about 'an unarmed Trump tackling a gunman'

You Trump fantasists (and general thickos) are overlooking the one critical element here.

He masquerades as some sort of latter day general Custer who would take on armed intruders with nothing other than his wig for protection; yet 5 times dodged a draft. Doesn't sound like he would make good his war cry in reality now does it?

Ali etc. have never once claimed they would take on armed intruders with a pencil sharpener and stencil set; or that gun totting teachers should be part of the school curriculum!

Wiggy Trump is a whirling dervish of hyperbole, cheap soundbites and delusions of grandeur. Let's also not forget he inherited his vast empire from his father and has done some pretty despicable things to stop losing everything on several occasions.
By:

When: 28 Feb 18 00:38
Lfc1971 covered the draft dodge issue earlier on this thread and left some questions for anti-trumpers and lefties that still remain unanswered.
By:
charwell.
When: 28 Feb 18 00:49
If you take 'covering' to mean he didn't know why Trump is a world champion 5 time draft dodger then ok.

As to his question 'would we sign up for a war.' What has that to do with Wiggy Trump being a fantasist. Where have we said we would tackle gunmen unarmed like Trump has? As such asking such a stupid question got its deserved no response.
By:
stickyvicky
When: 28 Feb 18 00:58
No, I was referring to his questions why Trump dodging is lambasted but Bill Clinton and Bernie Saunders dodging is glossed over ?. (or are not world champion draft dodgers as you call it)
By:
Whisperingdeath
When: 28 Feb 18 01:23
I think it is obvious Clinton was a draft dodgerbut Sanders is more consistent in his beliefs.

The Commander in Chief who sends men in should not have avoided their duty to serve! He has no authority and then condemns others who do their best to serve and protect even if may not have been good enough. He lost the right to criticise!

When: 28 Feb 18 08:14
Trump supporters using same deflection tactics that the man himself uses, namely blaming someone else for something and intimating that it's far worse than that on which he is being questioned.

https://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/02/us/politics/donald-trump-draft-record.html

As can be seen, Trump never had an Army Medical. The condition he supposedly suffered from mysteriously disappeared shortly after the war ended.

Leftists taking the moral high ground here again. Even though I cant think of them electing anyone who served in Vietnam as president.

Now we don't know why Clinton didn't serve, but they voted for him, we don't know why Saunders didn't serve, but they would vote for him, I wouldn't be surprised if they would vote for any draft dodger under the sun and tell themselves they dodged the draft for all the very best of reasons
Well I suppose anythings possible, they can even do that and think people on the right should care about Trump not serving in vietnan

Well too bad we don't so pipe down about Trump and instead worry about the next liar you are going to vote for, perhaps someone like Corbyn
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Feb 18 08:21
Trump didn't serve in Vietnam, he was right not to serve in Vietnam
And I would go further, no young person in Britain should volunteer to fight in any war for Britain
Especially if British people are prepared to elect someone like Corbyn as pm of this country, we already know enough about that character not to be listening to anything he says let alone following orders from him
Now that is the way it is
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Feb 18 08:28
It is morally indefensible for someone to be a pacifist, as corbyn claims to be, and at the same time seek election as PM of Britain

Those two stances are morally and intellectually unsustainable
But that wont stop the liar from standing
And that wont stop the leftists from voting for him
By:
northanlite
When: 28 Feb 18 08:31
I would say his claims about rushing in to the school are covered in traits 1, 5 & 12 of list above.
The rest all absolutely apply to him & his personality too
By:
lfc1971
When: 28 Feb 18 08:37
We don't want to elect someone nice like Corbyn
