'Racing needs to examine whether it has a problem with bias over diversity issues, British Horseracing Authority chief executive Nick Rust told the sport at an Awards Night on Monday.'

We had a small black kid in our school back in the 80, training to be a jockey. ...He had the same growning condition as Gary Coleman
If he stuck at it he could've been the Lewis Hamilton or Tiger Woods of the racing world

If 10% of the population are black for example then out of a matchday football squad of 18 then only 1.8 can be black, lets round that up to two.
That means that there will be quite a few black players losing their jobs at some clubs.
But hey fair is fair, that's the rules.
Would this work the other way?If 10% of the population are black for example then out of a matchday football squad of 18 then only 1.8 can be black, lets round that up to two. That means that there will be quite a few black players losing their jobs a

Given the successes in distance running track events you'd think someone might've sponsored an all Kenyan or Ethiopian team especially with their EPO programmes

You occasionally get a horse that is black or bay. Genuinely black horses carry the grey gene I think. There has been the very odd white horse, which are usually identified as albinos ( can you say that ? ) The top jockeys in the US are mostly Hispanic because South Americans tend to be lighter than both northern Europeans and West Africans.East Africans should be able to provide jockeys. Look at distance runners from Kenya,Ethiopia,Somalia. Recruitment drive needed ? I get the same impression that stable staff are very ethnically diverse.

mini me I seem to recall that (certainly in horse racing) horses were never referred to as black. Is that still the case?
I am re-reading (for about the fifth time) "The Tesios as I knew them" by Mario Inchisa della Rochetts (publ 197, 113 pages). It is a book about the famous Italian trainer and breeder Federico Tesio.
In the chapter"The superstitions and "science" of Tesio" - "Black is sad, black is death, black is nothingness. As a logical consequence Tesio never admitted to having a black horse - they were brown - and woe betide anyone who said they were black!"
