what a load of nonsense, no one in this country is in poverty, no one is cold, no one is hungry, everyone has free education, everyone has free health care, everyone has the greatest opportunities and freedoms of any people in any country at any other time in history
They and people like studyform should pipe down and stop whining and say a little prayer of thanks, silly fools |
By:
The sighs and tear stains of poor people and people like studyform only make me want to laugh,
and I thank god for lifes blessings |
By:
Dear me just because you have a mobile phone and have sky sports you cannot possibly live in poverty , there is such a thing as poverty of oppurtunity, the richest people have the best food , best and quickest healthcare , best schools for their kids , amazing that people still believe the drivel from money merchants

poverty doesn't bother me
By:
Nothing bothers you lfc
By:
when someone goes to school with a torn jacket and dirty shoes you know that they are poor, so what that didn't bother me
and I wasn't wrong either |

the wife teaches special needs kids in east london and their families all get very good benefits, massive even.most of theses kids are wearing 5th generation hand down clothes and are malnourished, these kids may as well be living in a shelter in bangladesh.
so how do you define poverty when they have money but their culture is not as ours. |

And what was she doing feeding him weetabix, processed rubbish, Outrageous slur. One of the staples of a healthy breakfast for generations. Low in fat salt and sugar. Delicious....think I'll have another. |

Claptrap is an opinion , shut up is an order , there is a difference lfc , keep it civil please
By:

The last person I spent any time with who was claiming benefits used to turn up at my house everyday just in time for the first race with his drink in a blue carrier bag and his betting slips in his pocket. As the days progressed it turned into "can you stick us a fiver on this or a tenner on that I'll give you the money when I get paid" Me being a soft s h it e thought what's the harm my bets are all 3 figures I don't really care about a 5'er here or a tenner there. So when he won I'd give him the cash at the time but you've guessed it when he lost he wouldn't turn up for a few weeks and if he did there was always b u lls hit attached. The money built up which I didn't care about it was the fact that he was taking the piss,so the time came when I told him straight so now I'm the tw at not him.I can't remember what he owed but his mentality sums up alot of what's wrong with our society FREE MONEY wherever possible and if you haven't got that mentality YOU'RE THE MUG. By the way I do feel sorry for genuine people struggling when it's not their fault especially in the must have society we live in. |
By:
and as I said I don't control it and you don't either , that's good
who could deny that? |
By:
now I don't mind if you continue to be rude anxious , because if you are not rude that might mean that I feel obliged not to be rude to you
And that is something I might wish to avoid |
By:
annie - I think you're being rather obtuse in your critique of the breakfast stuffs.
By:
wouldn't surprise me in the least if poor people even have microwaves to heat their porridge up in

By:
that's how I like to live, whats wrong with that?
I don't know |
By:
I can only breathe in the lower class places
By:
anywhere else makes me feel uncomfortable, im like that
By:
Not sure what is worse.
The fact that these poor souls are getting criticised for daring to have a mobile phone in 2018 or the fact seemingly intelligent people fall for all this bull they watch/read about all the so called scroungers on **** tv shows etc. Everyone on benefits tarred with the same brush Ignorance is bliss they say. Shameful |
By:
You probably get sick of doffing your cap in other places lfc1971, much better to be in your own enviroment especially if there's people worse off than you to look down on.
By:
yes its best to feel at ease in your own wealth, rather than begrudging others theirs
that's how I feel more comfortable, and I must admit I like comfort |
By:
that's a little life lesson for you right there ghetto joe

The point annie made is about budgeting for food.
For this person to be unable to pay for breakfast (the cheapest meal) makes little sense. The welfare state is fabulous, the voluntary sector without parallel. Family, friends, neighbours.. Then there's all the advice out there for eating cheaply, especially breakfast. Is he/she really saying he/she doesn't have 50p a day to give the boy breakfast? |

Joined: 22 Sep 06 | Topic/replies: 9,057 | Blogger: annie.'s blog And what was she doing feeding him weetabix, processed rubbish, jam, more processed rubbish and bread, probably cheap processed rubbish? I wouldn't call that being a good mother. Stating that weetabix is on 13p each so she should be able to afford it then bashing her for being a bad mother because she is feeding him cheap rubbish. So which one is it? My guess is annie has no kids yet is an expert in how to budget and feed them. Speaking through no experience but watched an hour of benefit street or some other sh1te on channel 5. |

Nobody in the UK is in poverty!!!! African kids are in poverty!!!!!
Cut foreign aid!!!! Spend it on our own!!!!!! |
By:
well the ones on benefit street are doing something wrong, and should listen to good advice
porridge, whats wrong with that? |
By:
I suppose jamesdean will tell me he doesn't like porridge, too bad !
By:
Nothing wrong with that, lfc. Just don't think the majority of people on benefits or 'poor' people
are like those on said tv show. Some will be no doubt but vast majority aint |
