Rising from the ashes of Mott The Hoople came Mott. Nigel Benjamin replaced Ian Hunter on lead vocals. This track was released as a single in 1975 but failed to chart. Mott released two albums, DRIVE ON which this is from and SHOUTING AND POINTING before they would undergo another change of lead vocalist and morph into British Lions. The singer of that group was John Fiddler, previously of Medicine Head.
