some ould doll had a pain in her back and went to Lourdes and the pain vanished.But for some reason the powers that be are classing it as the 70th miracle of Lourdes so i guess the worlds medical profession are saying there was some sort of divine intervention,i did not read the story ,but i guess its big stuff if they are calling it the 70th miracle.

My old mum experienced something similar. We attributed it to the miracle of Johnny Walker.

hi cardiff,someone fixed her back,these miracles are not declared without proof,as i say i did not read this story ,but i do know of one Lourdes story where a women levitated in prayer and i said it was BS,but the proof was there,she just happened to have 2000 people witness it.

and that is one of the small lourdes miracles.

I have been to Lourdes as a kid.

I must admit it did have a strange sort of feeling to it, spiritual.

I call BS.

Why out of the millions that visit the place are a miniscule % "cured".

Perpetuating this nonsense is just as bad as internet scammers selling fake cancer cures.

Lourdes averages a 'miracle' only once every 20 years,I was under the impression that it was something
of an embarrasment  to The Vatican.Of course its a big money earner for France,so it will continue.

Your maths are off Dan. Our Lady's first appearance was in 1858, so it's more like one every two years or so, historically at least.

The Vatican has no shame so I doubt they're too embarrassed. Probably siphon a few euro their way from Lourdes anyway.

I've been a few times. More chance of a miracle beating of the Aussies than Trent Bridge imo
