Lourdes averages a 'miracle' only once every 20 years,I was under the impression that it was something of an embarrasment to The Vatican.Of course its a big money earner for France,so it will continue.

Your maths are off Dan. Our Lady's first appearance was in 1858, so it's more like one every two years or so, historically at least.
The Vatican has no shame so I doubt they're too embarrassed. Probably siphon a few euro their way from Lourdes anyway.
