http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5376593/Jo-Coxs-husband-grope-claim.html

A new charity sex scandal erupted last night after it emerged that the husband of murdered Labour MP Jo Cox was once accused of groping a senior US government official.

The woman reported Brendan Cox to American police, claiming he assaulted her late at night at Harvard University – although Mr Cox strongly denies the allegation.

Her complaint came soon after Mr Cox quit as a senior executive with the Save The Children in 2015 following separate claims of inappropriate behaviour towards staff.

From his statement.

The Mail on Sunday reports that in the year before his wife was fatally shot and stabbed by a far-right terrorist during the Brexit referendum campaign in June 2016, Mr Cox sexually harassed a Save the Children worker outside a bar in London.

In a statement to Sky News, the 39-year-old acknowledged the "mistakes" he had made before leaving the charity, but said a further allegation in the newspaper that he forced himself on a woman during a trip to Harvard University was a "massive exaggeration".
"I want to apologise deeply and unreservedly for my past behaviour and for the hurt and offence that I have caused," he said.

Mr Cox continued: "While I do not accept the allegations contained in the 2015 complaint to the police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I do acknowledge and understand that during my time at Save the Children I made mistakes and behaved in a way that caused some women hurt and offence.
"This was never malicious but it was certainly inappropriate.
"In the past I have focused on disputing what I felt was untrue in the allegations, but I realise now that it's more important to take full responsibility for what I have done.
"I am committed to holding myself to much higher standards of personal conduct in the future."

2 of the charities that Cox campaigned for following his wife's death: White Helmets and Hope Not Hate.

£2m raised..Shocked

Hope Not Hate basically opposes UKIP. That was their mission prior to the referendum and continues today.

White Helmets: Some high-ranking western politicians, including British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, have openly expressed their support for the group. “I’m proud to say we’re giving them I think £32 million [US$39.78 million] funding as part of a wider £65 million package for non-humanitarian aid,” Johnson had said.

In the meantime, videos spread online have hinted that the group might have connections to some terrorist organizations such as Al Nusra. One video demonstrated what seemed to be White Helmets taking part in an execution of a civilian.

The group’s leader, Raed Al-Saleh, was denied entry into the US in April 2016 but was allowed back in September. US State Department spokesman Mark Toner struggled to explain Al-Saleh’s travel ban and eventually admitted that he is “suspected of having ties … with the extremist groups.”

Close to Gordon Brown according to this Times piece, moisok.

Brie O’Keefe has flashbacks, when she watches The Thick Of It. The yelling, the tantrums, Malcolm Tucker. “[It] brings me totally back to when I worked in that office.”

The office was the London headquarters of Save the Children UK where she worked with Justin Forsyth, the former Labour strategist, and his “wunderkind” Brendan Cox, who was brought in as director of policy as soon as Mr Forsyth became chief executive.

Out went the fuddy duddy image of the high street charity shop; in came humanitarian awards for Tony Blair and celebrity campaigns sending the likes of Stacey Solomon, the X Factor finalist, to combat maternal mortality in Malawi.

The No 10 insiders brought their brutal bullying culture and, according to their former co-workers, it was their younger, female colleagues who paid the price. To the dismay of their team at Save the Children, both men were allowed to “walk away” from serious complaints of sexual harassment, reputations intact, CVs unblemished, ready for the next top job, saving the world.

“The two of them coming in short order really perpetuated the culture of Gordon Brown’s No 10 that moved into Save the Children — yelling, bad temper, unrealistic expectations, lots of bullying,” said Ms O’Keefe, who worked there from the age of 28 to 31.

Mr Cox was the “brazen philanderer”, Mr Forsyth the bully, she said. Young women made up about 80 per cent of the office demographic. “Justin was extremely unapproachable. It wasn’t uncommon to see him stomping around in a foul mood, yelling at people for a thing as benign as a taxi his PA booked not taking him where he wanted to go or screaming to senior managers, across the open plan office, ‘How difficult is it for you to just do what I want you to do?’

“I’m quite a tough person but it was a really hard place to work.”

Mr Cox was more popular. At first, he was even inspiring. He called himself a feminist and threw great parties, paying for the alcohol. When visiting country directors or VIPs came to London, it was an honour to be invited to the houseboat on the Thames, which he shared with his children and wife, Jo. But his behaviour made savvier colleagues uneasy. “Things could cross the line with whoever was around at the end of the night. Usually it was the youngest staff.”

Older women found themselves policing the dancefloor to shield younger colleagues from his advances on nights out. In the office, they would intervene to stop “unsavoury flirting”. His daily 5pm “catch-up” with the team looked more like “a gathering of the harem”.

While the younger women received warnings from managers, “there wasn’t anyone talking to Brendan about the appropriateness of his behaviour” Ms O’Keefe said. “Even just propositioning someone younger over whom you are in a position of authority puts them in a very awkward position. I’ve seen girls getting texts at 2am saying, ‘Come and have a drink with me’. Nobody was challenging him. He answered to nobody except Justin and that was a huge problem.”

Sophie Walker, head of the Women’s Equality Party, replied to one of Mr Cox’s texts, in an open letter this week. “Did you ever pursue anyone who could fire you? Anyone who could say no without fearing the consequences?”

Faiza Shaheen, director of the Class think tank, said the two years she spent working in his department at Save the Children were “easily the worst working experience I’ve had”.

Alexia Pepper De Caires, 39, volunteered as a witness in the internal investigation into Mr Cox’s alleged sexual harassment, when she left the charity in 2015. She was unaware that her former boss had been accused of holding a colleague by the throat at a Christmas party, which he denied, but she wanted to tell the panel about the “very strange sexual dynamic in the office” and “predatory behaviour” at parties. “Brendan was a law unto himself,” she said. So she was “beyond baffled and angry” when, the day before the hearing was due to begin, she was told her evidence wouldn’t be needed: the disciplinary process had been dropped upon Mr Cox’s sudden resignation. “I was enraged because we never got to understand what had happened.”

That anger was shared by many, Ms O’Keefe said. “His political effectiveness and even Justin’s were put above our safety. We were not seen as being as important as these two people who had contacts and were good at their jobs.”

The most galling part, they agreed, was seeing both men fail upwards.

Within weeks of Mr Cox’s departure, Ms De Caires saw him at two big events in New York: once at a UN summit and again watching Beyoncé from the VIP stands at a fundraising concert in Central Park. “I felt sick,” she said. “I could see him still in the thick of it, standing next to Save the Children members of staff . . . We were ignored while the problem was allowed to wander the corridors of power, with impunity.”

Save the Children did not give Mr Cox a reference. But who would need references, she said, when your ally had landed a top job with Unicef? Mr Forsyth did get a reference, despite the formal complaint over his inappropriate behaviour. He resurfaced seven months later in New York as deputy director of Unicef.

Their carefully managed exit from Save the Children and Oxfam’s cover-up in Haiti were part of the same problem, Ms De Caires said.

Her colleagues were “predominantly white women, many of whom had Master’s degrees. “If these women can’t be safe in their workplace, what chance does a young woman in Haiti have? After that, I was constantly angry that people who supposedly cared about others didn’t even care about the women in their own workplace.” They feared that speaking out meant damaging an organisation they loved. The murder of Jo Cox compounded the dilemma further. “Seeing [Mr Cox] become this champion of humanity was unbearable,” Ms De Caires said.

Both women have since left the world of international aid. “It’s no longer a sector I have any faith in,” Ms De Caires said. “I can’t see any justice at any level.”

Ms O’Keefe said she was “haunted by the legacy of working there”.

Save the Children has apologised to women employees who complained of inappropriate behaviour by Mr Forsyth, admitting that their claims were not properly dealt with at the time.

Both men have apologised for their “mistakes” and for any hurt and offence caused. It is not enough for Ms O’Keefe. “I really admired Brendan and he disappointed me and many other people with his hypocrisy and his behaviour. I want accountability. Save the Children let them walk away.”
Report InsiderTrader February 27, 2018 2:20 PM GMT

An incredible article saddo.

3 things seem to be common among so many scandals.

1) the initial crimes
2) the cover up
3) the promotion of those involved which suggests a wider scale of corruption.

These are the ones I can think of:

Blair became Middle East Peace Envoy for example Crazy
John Scarlett who approved Blair's 'dodgy dossier' at the Joint Intelligence Comittee, became the Head of MI6!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saville became a Knight of the Realm
Clegg lied his way into Coalition which led to the destruction of his party, he lost his seat, the EU referendum and he gets a Knighthood!

Cressida Dick was a Commander in the Met and was heavily criticised in her role in the killing of Charles de Menezes. The following year she was promoted to Assistant Comissioner.

And now this business with Cox and Forsyth.

I just wish a male employee who cared more about women than his career kicked them in the gonads until they cried for Mummy.
