I would like to see them tried (surviving hostages have said they'd like to attend a trial) and then have them sentenced to a whole life term, preferably in an American maximum security prison such as what Richard Reid (shoebomber) is at.  A death sentence is a short punishment and they'd view that as a martyrdom anyway.  They're aged 29 and 34 and so could easily spend 40 or 50 years in a cell, which for me would be a much less appealing sentence.

If they come back here millions will be spent (by the tax payer) on lawyers (both sides). They'll get a few years then release with a million compensation for infringement of their human rights. Shot while trying to escape will do it for me.
