Didn't the men have to get dressed up and pretend to be medieval when they had the stupid intelligence test with crows and rooks which were strangely  not at all bothered by the
presence of humans?

I suppose it is a bit like Top Gear.  The BBC take a program for enthusiasts and try and broaden the appeal.
