Chuka imuna, horrible person with an irritating voice.
The result of what he just said is he'd happily ruin a trade deal with the US leading to UK people losing jobs and quality of life, so he can virtue signal to the left wing gallery. He's so much of what is wrong with modern politics.
Report donny osmond November 30, 2017 10:58 PM GMT

Chuka said they should uninvite trump which would be taken as a HUGE snub and insult to a man with a thin skin and fits of petulance.

That's not trying to walk the fine line of Diplomacy, it's childish virtue signalling.

Wow guy in audience with white shirt (slight south african accent?) should be on panel, he's far better than 90% of the contributors!
Report johnizere November 30, 2017 11:11 PM GMT
broadsword... I had to do the same. The whole farce is so left wing it's totally unwatchable. Pity the UKIP guy, they're on him like a pack of wolves, the audience baying for blood.
Report Just Checking November 30, 2017 11:18 PM GMT
They did the usual left thing thing that in any attempt to try to say that people have concerns in the area concerned you are heading towards being a fascist racist apologist. He said he didn't agree with Trump doing it but there should be attempt to address people's concerns. And of course saying a reasonable thing like that was jumped all over by people. It's why people are sick of politics.

Has chuka said every single QT buzzword already? Racist? Mysogynst? Islamaphobe? 350 million bus? etc He's done them all by 1/4 way through program!

BBC and/or QT ' left wing' ? Don't make me laugh. Look up who's in charge and those that are in powerful positions.

Oh, and by the way Chukka isn't left wing either. He's a Blairite. No wonder the Tory MP agreed with him.

BBC NOT left wing?LaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh
Report asparagus December 1, 2017 8:49 AM GMT
Facts is correct. It seems to be that the right wing loons desperately try to call any balanced or decent view/media outlet left wing in order to try to defend their ridiculous view points.
Report anxious December 1, 2017 10:38 AM GMT
In What way is the BBC left wing exactly , it may be riddled with political correctness but in no way is it left wing or sympathetic to Socialism
Report fife December 1, 2017 11:05 AM GMT
Good post anxious the right wing on here cant see the difference between pc and being left wing.
Report saddo December 1, 2017 11:12 AM GMT
And the pc mob can't see the difference between being non pc and right wing. Touche.
Report anxious December 1, 2017 11:27 AM GMT
No the Tory fanboys on here claim the bbc is left wing which is nonsense
Report saddo December 1, 2017 12:07 PM GMT
I am apolitical and anti pc. I don't call the BBC left wing, I call them a disgrace.
Report anxious December 1, 2017 12:11 PM GMT
Apolitical meaning that you have no interest in politics ? , yet you comment all the time on politics on here , most of the time favouring the right

BBC have their agenda which is PC and liberal with a leaning towards the left.
Report Just Checking December 1, 2017 12:19 PM GMT
BBC not left wing, you are having a giraffe. On pretty much every issue it leans to the left.
If the BBC stopped buying the Guardian in bulk it would fold!
Report anxious December 1, 2017 12:27 PM GMT
Give me some examples where it leans to the so called left
Report donny osmond December 1, 2017 12:27 PM GMT

But the title, with a tiny circulation, is free to view online.

The corporation spent £40,000 more on the paper than any other title. It also spent £18,621 buying 6,407 copies of its Sunday sister title the Observer.

The next biggest spend was £98,029 on 65,192 copies of the Daily Telegraph.

It also spent £28,661 on 56,317 copies of The Sun — and £96,151 on 70,605 copies of our sister title The Times.

In total, the BBC spent £641,157 on national newspapers in the 2016-17 financial year.

That included £81,493 on 44,367 Sunday papers, according to figures released for Freedom of Information.

It is pro EU nearly 80 percent of guests have been supporters.
It is anti trump. anti farage. anti corbyn anti russia anti assad
pro muslim pro refugee pro immigration

it certainly isn't some left wing but more liberal PC as someone else has said

mainly like the guardian as a sweeping generation ALL  of the above as far as that rag is concerned.
Report Just Checking December 1, 2017 1:46 PM GMT
They hate Trump (right wing) with a passion and make not attempt to hide it.
During the entire presidential campaign they were Democrat cheerleaders and when Clinton (left wing) recently visited, they treated her like it was a state visit by a beloved foreign Queen or perhaps a living saint.

Every thing they can use to be negative about Brexit makes it to the news. This week Morgan Stanley came out and said that Corbyn (left wing) was actually a bigger threat to the British Economy than Brexit, lots of media covered this, the BBC were noticably silent. And MS are right. If however MS had said something awful about Brexit, you can be sure the beeb would have covered it. They are all the things moisok just listed and more.

The left can't have it both ways. They can't spend their days saying that people against the many things the BBC actively promotes are "right wing" or even "extreme right wing", which obviously asserts a political left/right split on these many issues, THEN say that being PRO them, as the BBC is, is politically neutral and not on the left/right scale! Make up your minds.

Anyway back to the original argument, the OP said that the QT is left wing not the BBC, and he's right about that as well.
