Girl was Crushed to death at one of his concerts at Whitecity  ,took him years to get over it ..

David was a true Icon of the 70s ....

Heard he was suffering from Dimensia for some time.

RIP Sad

There was an odd generational thing in the mid-70s. Girls venerated the Osmonds but for their older sisters, it was David Cassidy; later, their younger sisters would scream for the Bay City Rollers. I expect now their granddaughters have One Direction posters in their bedrooms.

The fandom surrounding Cassidy approached the hysteria of Beatlemania a decade earlier and culminated in a stampede at a 1974 show in London. Hundreds were injured, and a 14-year-old girl caught in the crush died days later.

Cassidy announced soon afterward he would not stage another global concert tour.

Perhaps it always played on his Mind Sad

I heard he recorded 12 albums yet I can only recall one song. He visited a friend of a friend's daughter in hospital in Sydney in the 1980s and was apparently absolutely charming. 67 is too young.

I write the Songs Who Barry Manilow is credited for was actually Davids song

That was written by Bruce Johnston.
I don't think Barry Manilow was ever credited with it - nor was David Cassidy.
He also wrote Mandy (but it was called Brandy)
Just to set the record (no pun intended) straight.

David Cassidy had a brilliant voice
I saw him once in a play in the West End - Best voice I ever heard.
He was known for having loads of adoring female fans (groupies) and he wasn't always the nicest to them.
Just to replace the earlier REMOVED post I put on here.
