The applauding of the egregious amount offered for that Da Vinci painting

Is it not a painting of Christ?

It is far from impressive though I must confess, the eyes are weirdly off-kilter.

Apparently, when it was first (re)discovered some years ago - somebody sold it for  just £45.

...somebody also painted a beard on it too.

But for me the irony is in what Christ would have made of such an event.

The bloke who sold it years ago was called Dave Vinci, a bit of a Del Boy character by all accounts.

Get it on 'Fake or Fortune' - with Phillip, Fiona, and Bendor.

Love to see the stuck-up Wildenstein Institute turn it down.   

My brother, who is an antique antiques dealer (and possibly an unreliable source), tells me that the second time it was sold (for several thousands) Sotheby's/Christie's put it in a sale of modern art, there had been so much recent restoration/over-painting. Someone with more money than sense. Qatar?

The BBC need to take a long look at themselves

Many in the UK are struggling to make ends meet yet the Beeb "news" persist with showing auction coverage of paintings being sold for absolute fortunes as though it is a "GOOD THING"
