Suppression of argument is the first resort of those who are losing one.

John Lewis should have used their original choice. Far better.

OOOPs-a senior moment. Of course it was Abbey Road. Thanks for correcting me. It shows what age and infirmity can do to a memory. I really must stop posting this sort of stuff because my memory is not what it was but at least I am now realising it and it proves I don't use google much (my days of googling stopped a long time ago, but that is a different matter altogether). I remember when the White Album was released. There was much excitement amongst my friends and about 12 of us sat and listened to it all the way through and then debated its merits. At least I know that Elbow is a well respected popular music combo and A**e isn't (yet)! Thanks for putting me right.

What do you think of the white album, for me it's the Beatles great 'what could have been' record.  Has the vibe of a band that's completely fallen apart, which even the last 2 records don't have.  The Paul songs especially are just missing that extra something a fully committed band would have provided.

yet another mixed race couple in Debenhams ad. Waitrose is the only one I seen without a mixed race couple! Totally disproportionate!

Fair enough. As Frankie Howard once said to Bob Monkhouse (as reported by Monkhouse) "How do you know if you haven't tried it"!

Enjoy your tiffin. After I have layed 3 horses in the 19.13 at Parx it will be time for my tiffin and a couple of hours of telly and then some golden slumbers. Enjoy it and have a good night!
