Agreed.  Decent ad all the same.  Was that Noel Gallagher on vocals?  Nice tune.

Thanks Delta.  The tune had a familiarity to it, for me.

I have noticed an increase in the number of inter racial couples in these Christmas ads. A disproportionate number! Blue Mink got their wish!

The original track was on the Beatles "White Album". Carry That Weight segued into Golden Slumbers. This version by Elbow is sure to hit the charts, but of course I know The Beatles were a different class because I can tell my a**e from my elbow!

Not from 'White Album' but 'Abbey Road'.

Can't believe anyone would watch adverts with the advent of sky plus etc

OOOPs-a senior moment. Of course it was Abbey Road. Thanks for correcting me. It shows what age and infirmity can do to a memory. I really must stop posting this sort of stuff because my memory is not what it was but at least I am now realising it and it proves I don't use google much (my days of googling stopped a long time ago, but that is a different matter altogether). I remember when the White Album was released. There was much excitement amongst my friends and about 12 of us sat and listened to it all the way through and then debated its merits. At least I know that Elbow is a well respected popular music combo and A**e isn't (yet)! Thanks for putting me right.

Meanwhile, in over news, allow me to bring Tesco's utterly tragic and cringeworthy Christmas/Winterval advert to your attention… and please don't shoot the messenger.

They just can't stop themselves can they?

Poor old trilby, he is now stuck as original poster.

I requoted Twizzle's innocent but mistaken original post, together with examples that contradicted his view, but that got taken down as well.

Hard to have a debate on here.

Slim community do over the Xmas Period .

I don't know what most of the Not Fat community will be doing over Xmas, but I know some will be laughing out loud at all the hand holding, candle lighting, teddy bear and flower laying. songs of peace singing response to certain events. But of course, according to the Merde of London, its just part of living in London. Clearly he has not heard of events in other parts of the UK! Anyway we must not let these events spoil this Christmas advert thread.

I see the Tesco ad hasn't gone down well with them showing Muslims celebrating Christmas !
By:

I mentioned that and a delicate one had it removed. I'm surprised that Muslims have not complained about the ad tbh.
