Insist his wife comes to pick it up, will teach her a valuable lesson.
Report The Leopard November 9, 2017 6:31 PM GMT
Get him to re-sell item (including correct dimensions) with your address as pickup address.

You take 10% of sale and he refunds your initial delivery costs.

being a non confrontational kind of guy (pathetic i know) plus too far and i cant be arsed... Gonna keep it, put somewhere it doesn't really fit, maybe sell it later. Nice item imo.

Thanks for your replies... Happy

20mm out is close enough for medium and big furniture unless they specified a tolerance. Even the professional places probably have 5mm variations on the stated sizes.

Would it not be possible to cut / trim / shave off 2o mill where it's a bit "sticky outy" so as it will fit the area intended?

Strangely, I  bought a fridge for the garage from eBay last year for £10.50.  The only time I have used eBay in years.  Someone had £10.00 up for a week and I nipped in at the death.

Sweet.
Report Deltâ November 10, 2017 5:26 PM GMT

Does anyone have any idea what this "piece of furniture" actually is? I mean, if it's a cupboard for a doll's house, then 3/4" could be crucial; but if it's an armchair for eating dinner in, then the OP is a right old fusspot imo.

£11.50.

Was it from e-bay?

Get them to step in to sort it.

I think they should refund you in full and, either come to collect it, or leave you with it.

Alternatively negotiate a partial refund, and keep it, or sell it on.

It would be interesting to know what it is, and how much you paid for it!
Report Jack Hacksaw November 13, 2017 9:31 AM GMT
Yes, I got it wrong earlier.

imo the next bid is £11.50 then £12.00 etc.

Beyond those sorts of levels may need to consult eBay if bidding gets really frantic.

Better get your bids in soon cos the auction ends soon.

Probably.

Everyone knows instructions are only to confirm that the leftover screws and widgets of various kinds are indeed just supplied as a courtesy and not as some might suggest evidence of defects in the assembling.
